Oops, forgot to add these to my original "do work" list:
AltiVec Fractal Carbon
Black Light
escapepod (the one by Ambrosia Software)
FontExampler
Net Monitor
Smell-o-Mints
Starcraft (and Brood War)
ThemePark
TinkerTool (provided that you get the Jaguar version)
Transmit
Has glitches:
* Atom in a Box -- the display is very jerky although the reported frame rate is extraordinarily high
* Carracho -- If you don't do anything, it sits there just fine. But once you start clicking or typing around, it'll crash faster than you can say "Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia"
I'm just left wondering how much stuff will break not doing a clean install. It's like when I tried going from QT Broadcaster Preview to 1.0...the preferences weren't compatible.
Also, I've got so much unix junk installed, I wonder how much clutter my system will have after the upgrade. Down the line I'm probably going to do a clean install...

Maybe that's what Apple is going to do about OS X Piracy???
I think I'm going to do a clean install myself, better to go through the pain when it's a choice than when you've just lost a ton of work (D'oh I put off backup again)
Is anyone using the Microsoft key board driver with Jaguar? I love my little buttons
Every carbon app I try to start refuses to launch with the explaination...
Application Launch Failure
The application "Explorer! could not be launched because of a shared library error: ";<MacIE Carbon (Release)><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_ImageCap ture><>"
I've reinstalled it, reformated the partition and reinstalled it once more... same problem.
Using a Cube - 1.25GB RAM - 80GB Drive/4 partitions
Looks like Jaguar really changes how things work under the hood. I'll probably just end up recompiling all my unix apps since some of them are broken. epic, vim, etc...all broken.
It also reverts back to old configuration files, thankfully saving my own with ".applesaved" appended.
the way in which tcsh is called is also changed.
Lots of little things have changed. I think it's going to take me weeks to get everything back to normal once I switch to Jaguar.
MS Intellimouse drivers and the Wacom drivers work fine in the alleged GM. The presence of the Wacom tablet activates Ink, which is a lot of fun to play around with.
Looks like all the apps I use (Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, Cleaner, Wacom tablet, Painter, Toast, and now DVD SP) are fine according to the list you guys made....
I for sure will upgrade to Jaguar without second thought
The only real problem that I have found with applications not working in 10.2 (besides the few mentioned above, like carracho) is that Apple Remote Desktop will not work. I even reinstalled it twice, but with not luck. Does anyone know about plans for an update to fix this?
I read somewhere that when jaguar is shipped on macs later this month, they will no longer allow booting into os9, and you'll have to rely on classic to run older applications.
I use photoshop 6, illustrator 10 and quark 5 back and forth extensively, and I wonder if classic will work fast enough to be worthwhile? Upgrading is not really a solution presently because osX adoption in the professional advertising/design industry is way behind.

What about DVD Studio Pro 1.5?
Very creative Brad. It has hints of Sosumi (hehe.) Didn't SnWave do that?

Actually that looks nothing like Sosumi. He was working on that when I was working on Sosumi.
Hey Brad, why haven't you ever released that yet?

Hey Brad
What about DVD Studio Pro 1.5?

DVD Studio Pro 1.5 works... NetBarrier X does not, and might have some problem with Mail.app's mailboxes (minor problem).
Thanks JLL and Brad for the lists. Apple should do this.
Considering Eugene's post I'm just going to go ahead with a fresh install.
Zimphire are you SnWave? Anyway it's been a while since I saw so Sosumi. What I remember is good though.
Anyone gotten fink commander to work? Anyway, one should recompile all the fink stuffs using the new compiler to be better optimization.

I used to go by "Sinewave" yes Sosumi will be updated for 10.2, as well as SimpleAqua.
ZO. When I saw the signature in your post I thought it was MY post
