though i am not sure as to how you came to that opinion without owning one in the first place. for every horror story you mention (friends in New York yadda yadda) there are many more ppl that have no problem with the things you complain about. get the fuck over it.

I couldn't care less if I can get an iPhone there for 10 bucks cheaper.

And you know this because you are an expert at Wal Mart's business? How is it that they support the Chinese economy? Paying someone minimum wage or more is not underpaying their workers. I guess you enjoy getting raped by supermarkets and paying for overpriced items? I guess that makes you cool.

You are a moron! Don't dilute your brand? So should Apple close the 250+ stores around the world? How dare Apple try to get their brand out to the masses to sell products and improve their business. Should they also pull out of Best Buy, Target, Amazon, and Crutchfield too? When you buy an Apple product do you buy it directly from Apple so you can be sure to pay the HIGHEST price for it? Wal Mart is a retail store, no different than Best Buy, Target, etc.

It is interesting that the latter term appeared yesterday in a post submitted by Techstud. He, too, used the verb "spew".

Nobody stated or implied that "...only one person has issues with the iPhone...". However, the wording similarities that I pointed out above do suggest, although they do not prove, that you post under multiple aliases. Not the same thing.

As others have pointed out to you countless times, to comment with credibility on the frequency of dropped calls, you have to first own and use an iPhone on a daily basis. You have stated that you only own an iPod touch; yet constantly complain about dropped calls.

Finally, nothing I have said supports that "I have problems" or that I am "paranoid" or a "fanboy" - please refrain from personal attacks.

Or have you forgotten about their published policy about "only hiring 'healthy' people; making sure to first have someone work overtime, then cut their base hours that week, to AVOID paying them overtime; making sure "full-time" employees are sent home early or cut hours to avoid hitting the magic number of hours for required for benefits.

It's all very well documented, so I won't go into details here. But that's why I and many others would rather not see Apple in WalMart at all. Costco or Sam's Club, yes. Walmart? Hell no.

How dare WalMart offer lower prices in a neighborhood. I guess you enjoy getting royally screwed by supermarkets and their marked up prices? Do you buy your Apple products directly from Apple so you can pay the highest price possible because that is what makes you cool?

Have you ever had a job in your life? EVERY company will try to avoid paying overtime in many different ways. So if it is all very well documented, then where is your evidence? I don't know of any company that would hire an "unhealthy" person. Would you hire an "unhealthy" person if you had a business? What exactly do you define as "healthy?"

Costco and Sam's Club are membership stores, in which people have to pay to get into. Those are not retail stores open to the public. How dare Apple put their products in Costco because that is where people go for CHEAP prices too! As someone also pointed out, if you shop at Sam's Club, you are shopping at Wal Mart! Shows how much you know.

Well said. My iPhone with AT&T works great. Works just as well as my Razr phone did.

Oh come off it, it's hardly the same thing. If they made only 16 and 32GB iphones they could still sell at Wal-Mart. How does removing that model fix your elitest problem? Everyone has ipods, are those played out too? Is apple not selling those anymore? The problem wasn't that the RAZR was popular it was Motorola got lazy and stopped trying to innovate. They did nothing to push the RAZR forward and keep it interesting and subsequent versions were lazy, boring, the materials got cheaper. Half the phones they make right now are essentially slightly different look alikes on the RAZR. This isn't apple's problem, they're getting the new stuff, upgrading their OS and trying to lead in the industry. Motorola didn't want to do that they just wanted to sell a lot of phones, and they did for a time.

Because we keep people like you that are here for no other reason than to pull out your dictionary and make yourself sound smart when all you normally spew are facts that are incorrect in check.

With 9,340 posts you do nothing but derail the room by your total lack of knowledge in any subject or forum room that you've been in.

As I said with my first post. I sat on the sidelines and watched you belittle people for years and I'm tired of it. You are a mean person with an evil spirit that gets pleasure out of trying to ridicule anyone that disagrees with you or Anything Non Apple.

It will be interesting to see if Apple does go with the 'cheaper' iPhone route to prevent the umbrella of competition from the other smartphones.

I note while they've done this historically with the iPod...I'd like them to do it with the Mac line. They've managed to go cheaper in the consumer electronics line of iPods...in a way I didn't think they could.

They looks set to do it with the iPhone line too. If they want to dominate smart computer phones like the do with music players... I'd put a private bet that Apple would like to be the major player in the smart phones...and that means marketshare, mindshare and dollar share.

We'll see if they adopt this 'umbrella' reduction in the Mac line. I think it needs it. Maybe the fabled 'netbook' tablet thing will arrive sooner or later...

Apple are innovating in the smart phone space...I'd like to see them redefine the Mac computer space...instead of merely refining designs like they've done the last few years. Maybe Snow Leopard will give them that latitude.

    Random post over.

How would this situation come about? I don't see any smartphone that can match the iPhone's user experience and offer it at a lower price.

Apple did this by providing different models that offer differing advantages and trade offs. The classic, nano, and shuffle solve different problems and in some ways complement each other to the point where one person could own two of them.

It may be for lack of imagination. But I don't see what value is in an iPhone with less features. What would differentiate it from the thousands of other phones other than having an Apple logo on it?

For Apple to offer a $99 iPhone they?d also have to work with Telcos to offer a much a cheaper plan otherwise it?s a pretty pointless option.

I do. While Apple may not want an non-interneted, non-App Store capable iPhone Nano I think that the vast majority of potential customers are really just interested in an amalgamated phone and iPod. While some sort of internet is pretty much a given will all cellphones these days, I don?t think the average person wants the dataplan costs and/or wants that complex of a device. While it bombed, the ROKR a great deal of hype attached to it. If the HW and OS had been designed by Apple things may have gone differently.

Introducing, the iBrain with Nineteen Terabytes of storage capacity. Surprisingly, that's all the human brain holds. So now you can carry your brain in your pocket. Think of all the amazing stuff you can do when the iBrain App Store launches shortly after the iBrain ships.

I?ve read that it?s about 300MB, which seems to be used in the new imagining of the Battlestar Galactica prequel spinoff titled Caprica.

High up, iPhone's will probably start coming out with OS 3.0 soon.

Visual voicemail also started working a couple of weeks ago, I really like it.

We don't have Walmart here, we do have four companies offering iPhone's starting at zero upfront on a $A49 24 month contract for an 8GB or you can buy them outright on prepay, you can also unlock them.

    Gotta love competition.
