Well, aside from the obvious benefits of web surfing with Wifi, playing music and videos. There are several "tricks" work considering.
1) Obvious ebook reader to rival Kindle DX and new rivals in this space.
2) Wireless music and video sharing with other iTablets, iPhones and iTouches with Wifi. Imagine being able to stream to 5 other users. This is going to be a riot for students and kids.
3) With 3G datacard, used a local iDisk for MobileMe sync of photos and videos. Load up your content in the local iDisk and let that sync with mobileMe cloud while I read a book and do some chatting...
There are tons of things it could do, if the power and battery combo can last a good 12 hours to 24 hours of sustained use. Think Apple will do hybrid SSD (16GB built-in) and 240GB 1.8inch sata HDD. This thing needs to handle > 160GB of storage.
