iPad 2 Online Order Status

I think you are right, now I really just hope it arrives tomorrow!

It's 4:20 now, meaning its been sitting in NJ for about 14 hours--and I assume it still has to be flown down to VA......of course it doesn't help that the FedEx decided to locate its distribution center in NJ, where it's inevitably run by a herd of lazy jersey shore guidos :-(

Yeah, i wouldnt be surprised if i would be holding my ipad in my hands right now if it had flown into NY or CT instead of Jersey. Makes no sense why it arrived at 2am and just sits there the whole day. I bet my tracking will say out for delivery around 8am tomorrow. Also the 24 hours it was sitting in AK is ridiculous. The thing is Apple shipped it earlier than expected so it should arrive earlier.

Usually fedex is great with getting stuff delivered early but not this time. I'm not complaining about it being late, but with the tracking info it is reasonable to expect it today and actually it could have even been delivered yesterday if it didnt sit around in AK so long. In total there is 48 hours of sitting time in two locations.

The faster they deliver the happier people are and the more they ship through them = more money.

Hey all of you that are having it to be delivered soon what did fedex say on the site as the estimated delivery date while it was still in china? Mine is still inbetween lantau island and the states and it shipped yesterday and it says estimated on the 22nd! seriously wtf. I ordered at 3:06 central time on release day and it's a 64gb verizon model black. Why is mine taking forever. Post what it had said your estimated time was and what it actually is so I am not freaking out plz

Not sure Serianni....just that as far as I know it usually sits in Lantau Island 24-30hrs. Then it will take half a day to get across the Pacific. And this brings me to the yahoo package tracking service. I was unaware that it gives more information than the FedEx site. For example, the FedEx site has not updated my order at all since Newark, NJ, whereas yahoo is now telling me:

So my ipad has been sitting in HK for over 32 hours. My friend ordered his 10 minutes before mine and it delivered yesterday, mine still sits in HK. How long should I anticipate waiting for it to arrive?

I ordered two 32GB/3G iPad2's on 3/19 (time really is irrelevant), and until today the status showed Apr 25 shipping, and Apr 28 delivery. This morning, it said Apr 21 shipping and Apr 25 delivery. Things are looking up. Will Apple send out an email when it actually ships?

Yes, you'll get a shipment confirmation with tracking information.

Times seem to be unchanged for people who ordered day of or day after. Seems like they moved up for people who ordered later.

You'd think Apple and their partners would be able to completely source, assemble and ship a device in less than a month.

Yet we order on day one and get it after a month, how is this possible?
