iOS 5 can only post, not view. Which is why Twitter settings page has a button for installing official Twitter app.

It would've been nicer if Messenger app can at least send and view direct messages.

Will the integration support multiple accounts? I'd hate to only be tied to either my personal or business account...

I have my FB account linked to my twitter. If I tweet (ugh, I do hate that term) it's automatically posted on my FB account.

For those who need FB integration, that will have to do for now.

Anthony Weiner does not approve of such a message!

But has a photo or two to share should you be interested.

I couldn't agree more. If you don't download the app, there should be no buttons or references to twitter anywhere. Same thing with Facebook, and whatever the next fad app is. Here's hoping it works that way.

Twitter is great for my Apple related updates. I've only subscribed to Appleinsider, MacRumors, 9 to 5 Mac and saurik. When there's a new story, I get a tweet and I check out the story if it sounds interesting. This way I'm not constantly checking various sites for new stories. Twitter keeps me updated.

I guess other people use it to follow celebrities, but I couldn't care less about that.

    Love the new integration.

A lot of the posters here are weird like that. They hate Microsoft and Google, too. Usually for no reason. Don't even mention Adobe.

Welcome to the internet, you must be new here...let me tell you how this works, a few people try to have an interesting conversation about something and several people glance at articles and make stupid comments in between looking at porn sites...

Most users on the Internets have done both at one point or another, many do both regularly...

    Ouch. Slapdown of Facebook. Good

Facebook is for soccer moms and drunk teens. Twitter is much more Mac like.

I just can't find a reasonable use for twitter, or facebook, for that matter. That's all. Oh, and get off my lawn!!

Ping was (is) a foil to Facebook and what's left of MySpace, more than Twitter.

Which is why I barely looked at Ping.

Maybe I just don't understand, but could someone explain to me the difference between twitter and my facebook wall? I honestly do not understand what the difference is.

What site does it use for tweeting pictures? Can you choose to use flickr if you want? I know there are privacy concerns with some of the twitter picture sites.

That's how Android does it. Not just Twitter. I use Facebook, Catch, Whatsapp and. Picasa.

This is Apple's way of getting money from social networks. Just like Maps. Why integrate with just Google?
