HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA, your PB must be burning your legs because you typed some funny shit there, ahhahaha
Miami would cruch OU and anyone else they face, bet on it.

you need to put the crack pipe down son. it's one thing to be a fan and all, but you completely ignor the obvious: miami has looked absolutely lackluster at best since their near miss at the hands of florida state. need i mention that rutgers dominated last weekends game for three quarters. rutgers. a nobody of nobodies. do you honestly think they can score 28 fourth quarter points on OUs defense. not a chance. struggling against weak opponents while not being able to stop the run, does not bode well for you. not to mention you still have tenn, pit and v-tech yet play. if you win out, then you deserve a fiesta bowl bid, but you better make sure you get there first.
So groverat, let me get this clear, if Ohio State wins out they shouldn't be in the national championship game because they didn't win the last couple of years? And next year it would be the same thing right. Becuase they didn't get to play last year, they shouldn't get to play next year either? Do you really think Oklahoma and Miami own some kind of right to play in the championship. You are some kind of weird dude. The fact is that if they all win out, Oklahoma, OSU and Miami all have equal rights to play in the championship game, and letting the voters express their prejudices and have them apply to who gets to play is just a farce. It's not Miami's fault that Florida State and Florida are having off years and don't count for much in SOS. Just as it's not Ohio States fault that Washington State only lost to Ohio State gaining them the bonus. But that rule was put in because of what happened to Miami. Believe me, not one Ohio State fan believes Ohio State would lose to either Miami or Oklahoma on a good day. And looking at the games so far this year, it's hard to understand how anyone could say they couldn't win. Both Miami and Oklahoma have had close calls to teams that aren't as good as OSU. Looking at the strength of schedule, it's more likely that Oklahoma or Miami will lose a game. But for all of them, if they win out, it's going to be unfair to somebody to be left out. NCAA football is basicly a crapshoot. Untill the AD's listen to the fans and end this BS, this is just going to go on and on. Every one of us wants our team to have a fair shot at the title be the reward for a good season. That's only natural.
you make some good points, but i think groverat is speaking in terms of the current rules of the bcs system. flawed as it may be, if ou, osu, and miami all win out, then there is no doubt that ou and miami should be the match up in the fiesta bowl.
So groverat, let me get this clear, if Ohio State wins out they shouldn't be in the national championship game because they didn't win the last couple of years?

Give Miami 0 losses, OU 0 losses and OSU 0 losses then yes, Miami v. OU national championship game. There is no reason for Miami to *not* be in it, same for OU.
[quote]And next year it would be the same thing right.

If the national championship winner goes undefeated, they should be granted automatic entry into the next national championship game if they go undefeated, yes.
[quote]Do you really think Oklahoma and Miami own some kind of right to play in the championship.

Miami does, yes, they are the defending national champions. I don't see how an undefeated defending national championship could be kept from defending their title. If OU and OSU win out then OU deserves it because they played a tougher schedule.

I'll pass it to you so you can finish puffing after you put down the scissors. If you actaully watched the canes, all of their games you'd know they are bored. They've won 30 straight, they know they will win it all, have been #1 since last year in all the polls until last week. If Rutgers were really that dominating, howe'd they give up 20 something points in 1 quarter? Wow, that is dominating. The canes played half harted because they knew they'd win the game. When it got time to get serious they did, and in a big way. When we play OU, I bet we'll score a lot more then 28 points. They haven't struggled, they simply haven't played their game, because frankly, they haven't needed to.
So, bottom line, you don't care if the best two teams are in the national championship game. Things like "defending one's title" are more important?

No, bottom line I say that an undefeated defending national champion gets in the title game.

what a joke. you must be totally delusional. this is not last years canes and you have yet to experience a team that not only can shut you down defensively but can thump you in the ass offensively. so go ahead and keep up the fantasy, because if ou and miami meet in the fiesta bowl, it will all come crashing down very soon.
groverat just has something against Ohio State. He keeps saying they won't go undefeated yet who does he really see beating them? Michigan. No. Umm...who else is left on their schedule? Maurice Clarett has been hurt a lot and they are still without a loss. As far as Texas is concerned......they've been out of the National Championship hunt for a few weeks now...
I have no particular dislike of OSU, I just don't happen to think they will win out and they are historically underachievers. I'm surprised they've gone undefeated thus far playing such unimpressive football. Their schedule only has one really good team on it and they luckily got them early in the season and at home.
I've only really watched two of their games, one of those was against Cincy and the other was them pasting Texas Tech.
Your bias is getting ahead of you dude, Ohio State has played a tougher schedule than Miami according to the rankings. And if you don't like the way Ohio State wins, lets talk, Miami-Florida State. Miami deserved to lose that one. They were saved not by their own play but by a missed kick. I agree with you Ohio State could lose. It's more likely Miami will lose. Their schedule is tougher and they've come closer to losing before.

Ohio State has a tougher schedule, but Miami has a tougher schedule.
i'd say that osu has had perhaps a tougher schedule up until this point in the season (debatable), but miami gets the nod due to their remaining games.
Groverat, . there was no flaw in my thinking, you just want there to be one because there are so many flaws in yours. But enough bickering, I got my Ohio State mug ready for a brewski, my Ohio State sweatshirt is back from the laundry and my Ohio State baseball cap is lying on the sofa beside the channel changer. I hope Ohio State wins, and Michigan, Miami, Oklahoma, Texas to all lose, and if Miami wins, Washington State better win too. . put your game faces on...LETS WATCH SOME BALL!
But bickering is one of the things that separates NCAA football from the other major team sports- it's athletics, it's politics and (in some places) it's a religion!
What could be better?
That Michigan/OSU game at the end of the month should be quite an affair-you know if the Buckeyes come in unbeaten it'll mean more to Michigan than any bowl game!
I'm betting on a big win for Miami Saturday. I tend to agree that they've been playing disinterested lately, the poll drop should be a good wake-up call.

The BCS is a load of shit.
Your bias is a little too strong here.

That's some logic right there.
