i think your getting hung up on the whole ten years that texas was kicking our ass comment. this was in response to your comment that texas can't beat us but you could. never said anything about us kicking your ass for ten years. what i did say was that since stoops took over, this is our first loss to you guys.
So anyone think Texas / Texas Tech might be a good game. SOmething in the order or 42 /35 , last team with the ball wins?

texas should have no problems. texas wins 34 - 21.
The question will be can Texas Tech score more. If Tech isn't hot, it could be a 49-21 kinda game, on the other hand say Tech gets hot, gets a couple interceptiopns or fumbles, blocks a kick. We rarely get to see the Big 12 here in big 10 country, but, it would be nice if this game was one of the games I could click too during commercials. If for no other reason than I haven't seen any Big 12 team play this year. except Nebraska getting drilled by Penn State. That's the other thing I don't like about regional broadcasts. I'd like to see all the top teams play this year. The down side of the Bucks doing so well this year is they're on every week. Normally I would be crying to see them more, but this year apart from Notre Dame/ Michigan, I haven't seen anybody else.
Iowa, haven't seen them at all. And if OSU keeps winning, I won't see them till their bowl game. Whenever there's a highlight posted on the net I go see them. And there's always those little clips when they flash to another game on game day. So most my evaluation of them is gleaned by looking at the numbers they put up against teams I've seen. This year, they always look good. But they have the advantage, they don't play Ohio State. Before they played OSU, Purdue was 1st in offense in the big 10. Now one week later, they're third. The worst thing about the OSU / Iowa thing is it's not going to happen. Whoever won, it would be a great game. You guys are going to get screwed because of all the bias against the Big 10. They lost early, they should be ranked higher. But , that's the way it goes in beauty contest rankings. Big 10 teams are rarely flashy, but we play tough and we hit hard. Schools like Miami have no idea what it's like to get through a Big 10 or Big 12 schedule, where 7 of the 11 teams can take you down on a given week, and they all punish you physically even if you win.
Penn State should be ranked higher. They lost 2 overtime games to 2 National Top 10 teams from the Big 10- both marred by controversial late calls in the game, and they lost to #2 Ohio State after not allowing an offensive touchdown but getting a disastrous missed call late in the game.
Larry Johnson should be Heisman trophy winner as well. He has like 1400 yards with a few games to go
shit just doesn't always work out the way you plan it. we know that better than anybody. chrissy played a great game though. unfortunately, cliffy was better. as much as i enjoy seeing you guys lose, it sure isn't going to help us any in the bcs.
I am so happy the Buckeyes pulled that one off, now it's a showdown at high noon against Michigan for a chance at the Fiesta Bowl. Illinois was tough. That receiver was awesome today thats for sure. I still thought that run out of bounds then run back in was a bunch of BS, that play could've ruined OSU's season for good. Thankfully Tressel's boys did what they have been doing all season long, coming up with the plays at the right moment.
They'll be ready for Michigan next Saturday. Beat the Blue & Gold!!!!
It really is a shame that Iowa isn't playing Ohio State this season. They need some competition. And next season they'll be a totally different team.
So it's all down to whether Michigan plays spoiler for Ohio State again. If so, a lot of people will get to see Iowa play. If not, well, a whole bunch will, and I'll actually get to see Ohio State.
11 wins for the first time in UIowa history, undefeated in the Big 10 for the first time since 1922. Go Hawks.

i actually agree. tech has NO defense. TU should be able score as many points as humanly possible in 4 quarters.

Biggest challenge to the Cyclone Fiesta Bowl run each season I've played (which have been pathetically many!)
UT and Oklahoma have cost virtual Seneca a couple Heismans, too!

texas seems to have droped out of the NC race once again. what a shoot out.
I don't even know what happen, this is surreal, it's like aliens landed.
We go to Lincoln: win.
We go to Manhattan: win.
We go to Lubbock: loss?
It's just surreal. Not sad or angry... just confused.
Did that really happen?

ok....
ahahahahahahhahahaa
oh man...
Damn, ISU loses again...
That Buff running game-nation's leading rusher goes down, in comes Purify to rip off 80 yards in the final drive.
So isn't Iowa pretty much in the Rose Bowl?
If Ohio State loses, Iowa's Big 10 champs.
If Ohio State wins, they go Fiesta and Iowa goes Rose, right?
