Any last minute tips or tricks I can learn from you vets?

I am shooting for a 1300...I doubt I will come close.

What do you remember about the test and tell me if you hate it as much as I do.

Good luck, Macintosh. A-hem. I mean Mr. Macintosh. You're all grown up now!

Oh yeah, get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast in the morning if you normally do, and try to concentrate. It's pretty easy to lose your focus with 40 other sniffling, coughing, figiting, paper russling, pencil tapping, eraser scratching, calc-button-pushing test takers WHILE WATCHING THE CLOCK and thinking about little-miss thong bearer in the seat ahead of you.

Not that you should think about those things or anything.

The answers to numbers 1-10 are:

    b,c,c,a,a,b,d,d,b,a

and remember, if you don't know the answer..its always C

Oh and thanks for reminding me that its been 9 years since I took them!

I am not sure PSU does, I am not applying right now...just taking the test...I dont know why PSU wouldnt accept them now though.

Johnathan, the main thing I hate about the SAT is the length. 3 hours of testing is a long time to remain focused. The time you spend in the testing facility is 4 hourse counting breaks. It sucks.

No, I am Junior right now. I still have some time left to re-take the test in the event that I dont perform up to my ability, thank goodness.

    oooooooooooo

    i see

yea... i thought you were a senior... not many schools accept january sat scores as a senior since they get them after they have made their decision in most cases

Do not study. Do not learn any tricks. This is an aptitude test and studying and/or learning how to take the test directly contradicts the spirit of the test.

    I didn't study for it 5 years ago. I didn't learn any tricks. I scored 1470--780 math, 690 verbal.

My princeton hopefull gf is writing her SAT II Biology test tomorrow...and guess what lucky guy offered to drive her at 8AM on a saturday morrning!

    thats right, me!

i hope she gets in, even though it does tear me up inside to think that she might actually get into princeton (i mean that fact that she would be so far away, not the fact that she is much much smarter than me)

me on the other hand, i've had my share of tests for the week, english exam yesterday (it was a breeze) and calc exam today...boy did i crash and burn on that one

good thing i'm applying to arts and my calc mark doens't matter :-)

the american admissions process is far to complicated for my liking

i applyed to 2 ontario schools (4 programs) in less than 10 min

and i could have applied to many more, but...hmm why didn't i apply to more places?

anyway best of luck tomorrow to everyone writing SATs

    Edit: spelling, etc

god, I know that feeling all too well.

Deep down I want my gf to make harvard (or yale or princeton) but it too tears me up thinking she'll be so far away as right now I am going to be attending college in california. Weird how we will likely be switching coasts...sigh.

i guess its a part of life and if its really meant to be it'l work out in the long run.... still pulling for her to choose stanford though

I hate when that happens during tests because I totally lose my concentration and end up failing the test

I just don't understand why someone would say "I'm aiming for 1300." I mean, I never hear anybody say, "I'm aiming for mediocrity!" or "I'm aiming for a good, but not great score!" When I took the SAT, I aimed for 1600. I didn't get it, but still...
