Funny or Die's 'iSteve' hits the web one day early with 78-minute run time
The Steve Jobs parody biopic "iSteve" has been released one day ahead of schedule, and coming in at 1 hour and 18 minutes, is as long as many feature-length films.

"iSteve" was originally slated for debut on Monday, but comedy website Funny or Die pushed back the release due to the Boston Marathon bombing. The film was rescheduled to air tomorrow, but it appears that those interested can can watch it now.
Starring Justin Long (Dodgeball, Jeepers Creepers) in the title role, "iSteve" is the longest Funny or Die project to date, and with a run time of nearly 80 minutes, comes very close to being a full-fledged feature. Alongside Long is Jorge Garcia (Lost) as Steve Wozniak, James Urbaniak playing Bill Gates and Michaela Watkins filling the role of Melinda Gates. Ryan Perez directs.
While a parody, "iSteve" is the first film to take on the Apple cofounder's life story since his death in October 2011. An independent biopic featuring Ashton Kutcher, titled "Jobs," was screened at this year's Sundance Festival in January, but has yet to see a theatrical release.
A big-budget Sony-backed film is in the works with a screenplay from Aaron Sorkin (writer, The Social Network), though that project is said to be years away from completion.

That's good news, because, as we all know, "long" equals "good." It's always better to make sure questionable scenes, lines and shots are left in, because even though they may drag down the pacing or distract from the primary plot line, they will make the movie longer, and, ipso facto, better.

Ironically, I believe "jOBS" will be, unintentionally, funnier.
EDIT: Please note that when I mentioned it was funny, I was not referring to going-to-the-circus fun or fly-fishing-in-Montana fun. It was more shoving shards of broken glass up your ass and then sitting in a tub of Tabasco sauce fun.

Most of the population could give a shit less about Steve Jobs. If they have their iPhone and iPad you could be running Apple and no one would care. I still wonder how Apple became so powerful with all the anti-Apple trolls in the world. Oh wait that's a figment of your imagination.

This movie is terrible! I would like to get my minutes back, thank you very much.
I tried to keep an open mind before clicking on the link and watching the movie. I had never seen anything from Funny or Die before, so I didn't know what to expect.
I watched the first half of the movie, and I regret that I did. My criticism is not really directed towards any of the actors. I just found the story to be pretty dumb, and not really that interesting or funny. I read that it took three days to write the movie and five to film? Well, it shows. One of the disadvantages of the internet is that there is no quality control. I don't discriminate between movie budgets, and I'm going to judge a low budget movie just like I would judge a higher budget movie. If I'm watching a movie, do I give a crap about how much it cost to make? No, I do not. I care about my time and if what I am watching is worthy of said time. Either a movie is good or it is not. They should have perhaps made a short skit instead of trying to go for a full length movie. And maybe they should have spent just a little more time on a better story, just maybe.
I totally get that a comedy movie plays loose with facts and it's purpose is not to be accurate, but this movie seemed more to be an exercise in how many historical inaccuracies they could jam into it, rather than trying to be funny, because I wasn't exactly laughing my ass off. I was maybe expecting some even crazier stuff, like something out of Monty Python, The Naked Gun or even wilder. The humor in this movie seemed pretty tame, and pretty lame, at least for my taste, and the historical freedom taken in the story seemed to not be that funny or serve much purpose. Often, the truth can be funnier than fiction. So, I'm going to have to give this movie two thumbs down. And that is my review of the first half of the movie. Don't stay tuned for my review of the second half, because it's not coming.
It was OK, you can tell it was rushed and low budget. I laughed about 4 times.
Would I recommend it, hell no.

Pretty bad. I watched the whole thing and I can't figure out why. I need a rape shower.
The rest was garbage. And where was PC? Mac isn't funny without PC.
Watched it. Agree it wasn't that funny.
But, I looked at the bright side: 3 days to write, 5 days to film and it says it was cut on iMovie. It was interesting to see what a group could put together so fast.
Things I liked:
- The working vintage computers
- The Melinda Gates subplot
- George Lucas scene
- Justin Long describing Mac Guy Justin Long as "a smarmy piece of sh*t"
