#135, a 20 gig Mac iPod for Christmas.

I'm pleasantly surprised how quickly my 16.3 gig of music downloaded to the iPod.

i got a 10 giger for $368 on that day after thanksgiving sale. it's damn cool.

marware carrying case with armband should be arriving any day.

i'd like to try jogging with it, but from all the posts i've read (mostly on the apple ipod forum) it's hit-or-miss whether it'll freeze up after the buffer runs out. seems like it depends on A) where on your body you keep it, and B) how "smooth" or "jerky" you run

a PC friend of mine is thinking about getting one (his first apple purchase), but he wants to try jogging with mine first.

I might be 137 tomorrow. Can you answer a quick question tho...

If I purchase a windows iPod tomorrow, will I have and problems or need and other software when I purchase a mac in a few months ?

Well, sorta... Apple posted some information about converting Windows-compatible iPods to Macintosh format, but the process requires a reformatting of the hard drive in the device, thereby deleting all of your songs. If you have a way of transferring the MP3 files between your current PC and your soon-to-be Mac (read: OS X 10.2 has native Windows file-sharing capiblities so you should be fine) before you convert the iPod, then you'll have no problems when you get your new Mac system. See question #9 in <a href="http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=60920"; target="_blank">Apple Knowledge Base Article 60920</a>. Note, though, that MacWorld San Francisco is just around the corner, and if Apple were to do any updates to the iPod line, MWSF would be the time they would do it. Just in case they do update the iPod, you're probably better off waiting until after January 6th to make your purchase.

Now I have to decide weather I can reasonably fork over $370 for one of these puppies... <img src="graemlins/hmmm.gif" border="0" alt="[Hmmm]" />
