Best Buy's Black Friday sale knocks $150-$200 off some MacBook Pros, iMacs, & MacBook Airs

Big-box electronics retailer Best Buy kicked-off its 2013 Black Friday sale Thursday evening with dozens of doorbusters, including $150-$200 off MacBook Airs, iMacs, and 13-inch MacBook Pros, as well as a 65-inch Samsung HDTV offered for $999.

    This is false advertising and both Best Buy and Wal-Mart will burn for it. The LG 5100 models aren’t 120Hz.

     

    Oh, also, if they’re “unavailable in my area”, it shouldn’t be visible to me on the website, I shouldn’t be able to put it in my cart, etc.

    I was tempted to try and get an 11" MacBook Air for $850 at Best Buy, but instead took the safe route and bought a refurbished one from Apple for the same price. The only difference is that mine will come in a plain brown box.

    I will be picking up an apple tv for $85 and AirPort Extreme for $179. Just sitting here waiting at home in the warm while everyone else is freezing in line.

    Galley, why the heck would you assume that a refurb is better than the same model in brand-new condition for exactly the same price?

    It's not available in my area either. I was all set to buy it and was perfectly happy with an in-store pick up but they wouldn't allow that.

    Refurbs are like new with a full warranty, and I don't have to wait in line for hours.
