Not really. I'm on a Nexus 5, and know Android inside and out. I've had alot of weird, random issues with the software since I got it, and the phone is stock. I'm also on ART. It's not slow, but Android DOES start doing odd things after a while, requiring a reboot. Never experienced this with iOS.

Totally. A little bit rich to compare sales of a niche product to that of a niche + mainstream product combined.

As an artist who uses Wacom tablets every day, I was very seriously considering one because of the stylus. In the end I just couldn't stomach the thought of having to use Android, but I sure wish Apple made some products (OS X or iOS) that use a pressure sensitive stylus for drawing.

Have you looked at the Wacom pressure sensitive stylus for iPad? The new Fifty-Three Pencil is also pressure sensitive with their Paper app.

OMG...only idiots think those $49-$99 android junks sold in Walmart are counted as smart phones and comparable to iPhone. It's like comparing graphite to diamond...yup, they have the same chemical elements.

Dont even bother. Like must android users quantity is more important than quality. They argue that us ios users are so closed minded and sheeps but yet they act worse and with no sense of direction!

Google will never forgive you for not using android;  they would have loved to  spy on everything you do.

Anyway IMO a very wise choice.

as per the article in the phonearena website (http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S5-sales-are-robust-in-South-Korea-thus-far_id54629)

"According to Yonhap News, around 7,000 Galaxy S5 units are being sold each day in South Korea. At that pace, 1 million S5s will be in the hands of Korean customers in less than five months."

also, no presales in Korea as Korean telcos released the S5 earlier than the April 11 launch date.

so yeah... i don't think it will add value to the comparison... :D

OMG Samsung will AGAIN start playing dirty tricks on Apple.

They just won't sit back and take such marketing abuse!

My 3.5 yr old iPhone 4 on iOS 7 is still performing very well.  When the battery fails (now about 65% capacity) I'll replace it for an iPhone 6.  I need the  delay to decide if I really want the iPhone 6+ pablet, which I see as both a phone and a micro tablet.

Most of my iPhone use is not phoning, so the iPhone 6+ seems the way to go for me if it fits my pockets. I'm not about to replace my clothing so I can carry a large sPhone.

I've run Android for years and never experienced "weird, random issues with the software."  That's not to say that you're not experiencing these unspecific and generic issues, but that there is likely something unique to your setup that is causing this.  I'm not sure that all apps are able to run in ART without issue so that might be your problem right there, but I can't say for certain.

If you're interested in getting to the bottom of your issues then you can install a free app called aLogcat that will tell you what is wrong.  The resulting log file will be very technical so if it looks like Greek to you then you can hit up XDA and have someone translate it to plain English for you.

Yeah, I do not claim that Android is as stable as iOS, but I have had to soft reset and reboot our iPads and iPhones every couple of months. There's no denying that there are more reboots with Android, but that's the tradeoff for the the integration and customization. Reboots are still pretty rare, but at least once/month for me.

That said, ART on my Nexus 4 bumped my Antutu benchmarks up from Galaxy S3 territory to Galaxy S4 territory. My son begged me to throw 5.0 dev preview on his Nexus 5, and it is really nice. Responsive, intuitive, and looks great.

Yet another example today of Samsung's attention to detail when designing their own competing features to replace Google Android's. In this case Sammy's version of "Find my Phone". Well done Samsung, well done.

Yeah, I'm still thinking about the 2014 X (pure)...  I might give the OnePlus One a quick try though too. It's frustrating that neither is GPE or Nexus, though they will both get quick updates.

Given the huge power that Samsung has in Korea, that's practically treason!:D

But even stupid national pride will not make people choose an inferior product!:smokey:

Oh I don't know about that  what about Chevrolet/FORD/GM?

You don't know about what? Why don't you look it up, if you don't know about things.

Samsung has a powerful influence on South Korea's economic development, politics, media and culture, and has been a major driving force behind the "Miracle on the Han River".[9][10] Its affiliate companies produce around a fifth of South Korea's total exports.[11] Samsung's revenue was equal to 17% of South Korea's $1,082 billion GDP.[12]
