i believe if this happens, you can purposely tap your phone 5 times with a non-authorized finger (like your middle one? lol), and your phone will revert to a mode where your PIN is required as Fingerprint ID will no longer work.
Possibly, but more likely scenario is that you are caught off guard and your phone is confiscated, then you're legally forced to apply your finger or thumb to unlock immediately. I don't believe a search warrant even need be issued in this instance.
And that will place you under obstruction of justice when cops order you to only use THUMB.

Check...and...mate. I wonder if Android will solve this in 5 years.
Not sure why you're bragging about this when Apple has copied/stolen/borrowed many features from Android that it has had for years. Notification center, quick toggles for WiFi/BT/etc, NFC, and 3rd party keyboards just to name a few.
Alibaba's Alipay Rolls out Update to Mobile App Accepting Apple's Touch ID for making Mobile Payments
A new Chinese report today confirms that Alipay, the e-payment arm of China's e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd, rolled out on Tuesday the latest version of its mobile application, which allows iPhone users to make mobile payments using Touch ID instead of passwords.
Analysts said that the move is not only a win-win cooperation for both Alipay and iPhone, but also an indicator of a potential alliance between Alipay, China's largest e-payment solution provider, and Apple Pay, the mobile payment service of tech giant Apple Inc.
According to a release issued by Alipay, users of iPhone 5S, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be able to activate their fingerprint payment function as soon as they upgrade the Alipay Wallet app to version 8.4.
Biometric technology such as fingerprint or retina recognition is regarded as a more secure and convenient method of identity authentication. "Compared with traditional codes, fingerprints are one of a kind and are not easy to copy. It also effectively improves the security of transactions and reduces the risk of password leaks," the statement said.
Alipay, which has more than 300 million users in China, said it is working on other biometric technologies, which can make it possible for people to confirm payments for a wide variety of goods and services by winking or simply by showing their faces in the near future.

Particularly with H.265 doing amazing things with the bitrate.

Ask your handlers for the updated talking points sheet, please. It’s not 2010 anymore.
i do as well. my family wanted to group video chat like this over thanksgiving but short of some third-party solution that would be overly complicated for them, we couldnt do it. did our calls one at a time. boo.

that would be nice. id love to have video that had something near the clarity seen in the promo vids, instead of the muddy video i actually get in facetime...
That first phone never existed. Say what you may about Google, but they were smart enough to see that Apple was on to something, and changed their plan accordingly. The ones that reacted late are dead, or dying.

The entire Android is iOS copy to begin with. What r u talking about?
Oh, I see we're buying into the propaganda. What that little image fails to mention is the video produced by Google that showed a range of devices running Android. Some were blackberry-ish, and some were touch-screens. But hey, why not just cherry pick the image you want if it helps your cause...

Simple.
Just don't set your thumb. Use another finger.

No, no, absolutely ridiculous and no.

Whatever happened to [@]Gatorguy[/@]? Did someone run him off? I would've liked to read his input on the matter.
He's on that week-long Google "Lollipop" cruise around the Caribeean¡
I do miss the 2+ feature that iChat had.

It’s literally right there in the image. People have held and used it. Its creator acknowledges its existence.
Don’t be a moron.
So, you're just going with denial.
It's a prototype, of course, and just like there were iPhone prototypes that looked vastly different from the final product.
