I have officially SWITCHED!!!!
I am proud to say, I am not only an apple user in mind, but in body too(well 2-3 weeks) I placed my order at the apple store like 3 minutes ago. 17" iMac with 512,1 dimm sdram and an airport card installed. An external floppy drive, and the extended apple care protection plan.
There's this odd tingle I have now, and a blooming hatred for the PC that I still use(for 2-3 weeks). Currently the beige formica desk that my iMac will be sitting on is primed and waiting to be painted a gorgeous titanium color(benjamin moore 'ice cube grey') to match my grey and white room(all painted today and yesterday) I can't believe I actually designed my bedroom around a computer, but I guess it is the center piece
(competing with my record player)
Is there any must-have software(dear god, let it be inexpensive)?, I am ordering Norton System works, and adobe digital video colection is in the mail(500 dolors at an educational reseller!!!!!!!!
) Anything else I should just get?. . .
YAY!!!
(i can't beleive i've spent over 3,000 dollors in the last 24 hours)

If I have a small 3-4 computer wireless network including the Orinoco bg-2000 gateway wireless server do I really need firewall software?, what will this do?

Your "gateway" has a firewall built-in and preconfigured to keep all incoming traffic out. If you need to setup port forwarding (so you can access your network from the outside), there is a web-based configuration interface.

It's not bad.. just that when i found the drivers to the lucent modem i switched to an adsl modem ...
Now the Macs are luvly
