Most of Los Angeles County isn’t supported, so who knows what part of LA Apple is talking about.

You would think with Google's lead Apple's first job to be done  would be getting its map to global coverage and parity as soon as possible and pretty transions last, but then if they can make a lesser product seem superior I guess job well done ?   :/

[the above text is supposed to show as quoted; why the HELL won’t it???? Why do I even USE the internet anymore??? Everything is broken in mobile or on desktop or both!]

Apple might want to start by not instructing people to make illegal U-Turns in driving directions. Pretty much illegal everywhere there’s an intersection, in my state.

    Love this line. So true.

That’s a variation on “Lead or get out of the way” and “...skate to where the puck will be.”

    Fair enough. Still, well said.

Google maps is successful because of its multi platform support

I can research locations on my windows computer, and bam they appear saved on my phone, or my Mac, I can then share any saved places with friends and colleagues on iOS or Android - no worries. And they can access them on their phone / tablet/ desktop.

I actually used Apple maps to go somewhere one day, then wanted to tell a friend to meet me there. She uses android. So had to send a google maps link
