Hey Serrano, maybe keep the risque stuff on your site rather than appleinsider? I can get in trouble for stuff like that showing up on my screen at work. I'm allowed to piddle around on the net, but stuff like your risque desktops are starting to piss people off around me. Just a request.

or just make the pictures smaller, so you can still show your work, but no-one can see it from across the room.

If you get in shit for "dirty" pictures, then don't surf this thread when at work... you know what's inside... so it is kinda your fault if you get yelled at.

AI has many other fourms/threads that you still can venture into.

I like the desktops... there not porn and they are within picture restrictions. Keep them up!

I don't think you meant serrano.

Asaph, you could just disable pictures showing up in the forum through the Control Panel while you are work. Images will come as a hyperlink and when you see salmonstk's posts with a image URL don't click it.

How about we kindly ask salmonstk to make his future risque posts with just a link (or to feature a different type of desktop - many of his others are quite nice)? I don't look at these forums at work, but I do think some of his desktops may be just a bit too risque for my taste. I wouldn't mind being able to check out everyone's desktops without having to see what many would deem inappropriate.

In the long run it doesn't matter to me. I just wanted to chime in with my $0.02.

    Way to represent!

Is that yours? If so, that makes 2 of us. Though I haven't a digital camera and don't take photos of the car much. Mine is a rare 96 (!) Montego Blue (color code M8) that looks quite similar. That one looks like the Jade Green model.

I assume this is a typo and you meant salmonstk. If so, then, agreed.

We've been pretty lenient with those posts because there haven't been any complaints yet. Now, though, if salmonstk or anyone else is going to post images of this nature here, either make them significantly smaller and with some kind of heavy blur or other filter or just don't embed then directly at all.

Indeed. But there is only one plant that made Rx-7's, and any "95" built after sometime in late 95 supposedly has different parts that the 93-95 series. I looked around once and found some of the part numbers to match the ones in the 96 spec, which was a revision that never officially made it to the states.

Anyway, it was built on December 15th, 1995, if my research is correct. So I consider it a 96 since it was bought in 96, made on the same line as 96's, and has 96 spec parts as stock. Most people in the rotary world call 'em "late year 95's" but that's confusing to most people.

Fortunately, most of the parts that I'd replace are consistent with 93-95's. (i.e. filters, etc)

My first desktop on my first Mac ever

...and yeah, that's my Spectre folder. I used to play that way back at my friend's house in like '91. It was the first program I installed.

    ...and check your PM's, Disco.

Spectre is a really old game... basically you have a little tank with a little gun and you shoot polygon-based enemies. It's pretty addictive.

Anyone who wants the Drip wallpaper should go contact honz over at pixelperfect...he'll hand it out if asked nicely. He doesn't distribute it openly because he made it from another wallpaper by macrobaye, which is also pretty nice.

Spectre and tons of older Mac games can be found in the Macintosh Garden. Google it.
