This is an old trick that been around for three years, since the Public Beta.

    Try the terminal command:

    defaults write com.apple.dock pinning start

And to put it back to center:

    defaults write com.apple.dock pinning center

Or to put it on the other end of that side:

    defaults write com.apple.dock pinning end

You'll have to log out or kill the Dock process for the change to take effect.

Or you can install TinkerTool and let it do the work for you.

Why haven't Apple added all these options to control panels/preferences? There seems to be lots of examples like this one.

Oh! I see. I know one that let you (I use it in OS X 10.1) turn transparent the dock

Got some new Creature Speakers, so I figure it is time to post a couple more pictures. =) I am rather proud of my setup, after all. ^_^

    And please remember:

I'm not the best photographer, nor do I have access to the best cameras. =P

    Scott,

It's Windosr Castle, unless I'm very much mistaken . Hampton Court is made from a red/brown material - I'd guess that it's an iron rich sandstone.

Xidius, isn't that PowerBook being held a bit too high and far away to be comfortable? I'd probably rather have it on top of something (like a stack of books or an iCurve) just behind the keyboard.

The desk is only ~2.5 feet deep. Not bad at all. And when I sit up in my chair, the top of the lcd is exactly at eye level. =) That's pretty close to perfect ergonomics. 2 feet away, with the top of the display at eye level. If anything though, it's better than having the display TOO close. ^_^

Ah. I guess the perspective in the picture was somewhat deceptive.

Holy crap that G5 is big! I never saw a picture of one that had a good size comparison with other objects.

I'm just looking at that iPod, and the keyboard, and the chair... wow. Big ol' computer. I'm almost glad I can't afford one because I wouldn't be able to fit it anywhere (nonsense! I'd make room!).
