Like someone already said all rumors are welcome. Post any info you want. Obviously most people here state what they want so why shouldn't you. Plus there ARE a lot of us who love to read rumors. True or not they are fun and if they turn out to be true all the better. It is all part of the game.
PLAN B- can you explain what apple will do to bide the time until these updates? If they wait this long surely it would hurt them more than help. People wouldn't be shocked about a huge update they would be expecting it. I understand Apple's appearances and special events could only result in software but special events are usually hardware except maybe itunes for windows. Mostly it just seems too long of an upgrade cycle. The end of June is 3 more months away.
Here's the thing, PLAN-B...if you're truly "in the know" and, according to your sig, now an "ex" Apple employee, then you have no reason not to spill it a bit more and give some further insight or evidence. Right?
Ex-Apple employees can still be under NDA. Or he could have received the info from a "friend" who he doesn't want to get in trouble.

If your saying the 1.8 dual model was an update to the PowerMac line, I disagree with you. It was created to decrease demand for the 2.0Ghz dual model which was in short supply. IT WAS NOT AN UPDATE TO THE POWERMAC LINE.
I still think Apple's going to update the PowerMac line or at least announce a new PowerMac line Mar. 30th. The single G5 Xserve being shipped now and the dual being shipped in April is a good sign. MacOS 10.3.3 is ready for the new PowerMac. Also Apple has a couple of presentations in April - a bio-IT confernce the week of Mar. 30th and NAB later in the month. Of course Apple could wait till sometime in April. Waiting till WWDC seems to late, but there seems to be a few rumors pointing to WWDC.
Never said I was a nice person.. on the contrary, I am a complete and utter A@!#*$@
how true.......
i know its a long time to wait
as for more hurt than good.... well the powerbooks need milking a bit more
the screens are back order city right now
and dualies are still as hot as anything out there
the athlon 64s seem pretty good but just not even going to compare to a dual 3ghz machine
with upgraded graphics there will be no more
"oh i have to have a pc for my gaming"
i predict with the new range coming out we will have more than the 10% market share by the end of the year i think maybe (with all the new stores happening) 15% or god forbid 20%
that would be a huge slice and would have bill gates worried - which is what steve wants......
Apple might be able to grow to 10% in ten years, but not with high speed, high priced workstations. They will do with with consumer consumables.

i didnt actual say there defo going to grow 10% in a year i said i predict a move from 10% - 15% which with such a good line of computers i think is possible - then i said god forbid 20% (think i wanted more than predicted)

You are borderline retarded. Apple does not have the ability to ship the volume required to achieve a 10% market share within a single year.
as for the retarded comment.... well thats a quite awful this to say.... retarrds are much smart than i am
but thanks for venting your anger.......
Explain your filthy lies. Show pictures, describe enclosures, and lay out pricing. You know, since you know everything else that would go along with it. High and mighty ex-Apple employee.
You're really starting to piss a lot of people off here.
Oh, did I stutter? Everybody gone all quiet and shit? About a minute ago it was like an evening at the Apollo up in this mother****er, now all of a sudden it's quiet as a church...
I hate it when people use that word. No class at all. Grow up!
Ahh.... being politically correct is so gay (haha, funny...)
The real funny thing is that this time the word fits.
retarded - relatively slow in mental development
This guy definatly fits that. He is still trying to push this uterly bogus info. I would say that it shows slow mental development if you still beat a dead horse. I am not sure who is worse though. People that believe this, or the guy for posting it.
If you use common sense for once, it just doesn't make sense. Apple can't go a full year without shipping an update. I would bet that the powermacs would have been updated sooner (read late Feb early Mar), but there was a delay with the 90nm process (hence the delay in g5 xserve). Now that those are finally shipping, we should see updates to the powermacs soon (probably next Tuesday, by April 18th at the latest).

You beat them, you take their money, you call them names to their faces...and they love you. I don't know how you do it. I never saw anything like it. Beating a man out of his money, that's easy. Anybody can do that. But beating a man out of his money and making him like it... that's an art. That's an art of a true hustler.
For some reason I think that fits a bit better here...

10% market share by the end of the year
...is what you said. Of course, this could be adding your own thoughts to the parroting of information you've heard (which may or may not be true).
Take a deep breath and type more slowly is all I have to say.
