As I recall, Steve said he wasn't going to count the Pepsi promotion towards the goal of selling 100 million songs in the first year, so let's say, "How many songs will iTMS have sold by Wednesday not including the Pepsi promotion?"
They'll definitely hit the 100 million. I know when i'm being setup. Steve claiming 50 million sales was done purposely to make it appear as if the service wasn't meeting projections. Once he adds in the Pepsi promotion and the standard sales I think the 100 Million target will be met. Of course Jobs will ride this one for the full 8 seconds.
Plus I'm smelling the announcement of some new partnership. You heard it here first.

actually i heard about a partnership somewhere else first, but i forget where.
(The X is where they want to be: 100 000 000, 365 days)
I'd like more data points, but the current formula (y = 517 x^2 - 26 300 x + 3 370 000, y is songs, x is days) seems to fit the data set pretty well (give or take ~3 000 000 songs)
Additionally, I predict they hit 100 000 000 songs 458 days after introduction (July 29th, 2004)
(I'm hoping someone checks my math, cause it's late, and I have a psych exam tomorrow.)
EDIT: Sorry I made the forum too wide, but I wanted to include the references in my table. Fixed now.
Alright fsckers, go buy some music, make them hit 100 million
There was a *really* big new music tuesday today, I didn't count(I wish apple gave a total) but the page scrolled forever, easily 500 albums and singles.
In its first year, iTunes sold more than 70 million songs, providing music fans with the best digital experience on Mac or PC. Now iTunes 4.5 offers even more ways to discover and enjoy music.

Don't really care, as the Music Store is MIA in my area
You all do realize that only 50 Million had been sold as of last month, right?

Just use the URL tag for each of your references, like this:
Source
we don't need to see the whole URL written out, and that's what's chewing up the page width

And yet you used a complex formula and created a chart.

71 million including Pepsi.
Steve will mention how this is 7x more than the rest of the downloading services combined.
