Very nice work: I agree with boba fett, though, the animation is a good deal faster than the camera moves you get in Apple's commercials.

As for the design, I think the big Apple logo at the bottom is a bit too much, or does it have a secondary function?

hm, very true, I guess if Apple were to make this, the design would look something like the ibook or the 12" powerbook. But they would need to put handles or "gripping ares" on it somehow...

Proto specs are as follows: Just Dreaming here!

32 Mb Ati or nVidia graphics

512 levels of pressure for screen

    Apple Stylus

2 FW 400(why? cuz it would be nice)

    video out

    Screen size 6"x8"

    Overall approxmately 8.125"x10.125"x1" thick

portrait or landscape viewing, by depressing and turning the Apple logo, the screen would orient to that 90 degree rotation.

These are the basic specs as I see them...

Base cost: $799.00 + BTO options for HD, RAM, etc.

Not to replace a laptop... Just augment it...

    Iksnoo, awsome work

I wish Apple will bring back the "Think Different" slogan

also think they should show the Think Different commercial once in a while

by the way Apple just started a Demo Reel for their Pro Apps (Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Shake and Logic), so they can showcase it, migth do you some good.

Really, really nice. As has been said before, it would be nicer if it were a bit slower.

I'm guessing that in landscape mode you hold it on your arm with your left hand holding it in the area of the Apple logo. What about left handed users? It doesn't have to be symmetrical but you should think about how it might rest on your right arm with your right hand grasping it around the area of the camera.

Are the grilles at the sides near the top the speaker grilles?

I don't see an air vent. I can promise you that the engineers will want two air vents so that air can be pulled in and pushed out. Perhaps these could do double duty as speaker grilles.

Finally, what are the four blue lights on the back? Battery indicators?

First off, thanks again everyone for your suggestions/critiques and kind comments!

Apple logo on front acts as an orientator... If you rotate the logo on the front North, South, East or West you can in fact hold it any way you like! Thereby alleviating the right handed/left handed issue! Speaker grilles also double as heat exchange system. Blue lights are in fact battery indicators(similar to iBook)...

No, I do not work at the defunct Water Park!!!

    Great job.

You need a Jeff GoldBlum impersonator doing voice over though. Giving the basics features or selling points like in Apple's current product commercials.

I think I'd drop the video segment after the "breathe" type frame and stretch the time out for everything else.

You've got some beautiful animation/CG going on so slow it down so we can see this thing.

    Once again, great job.

I'd say you would be more likely to be hired by a 3-d effects house than by Apple. If you want a job as a product developer you need to sculpt clay and make real prototypes and know the engineering manufacturing processes and form factor/ human factors behind them.

I can't critique the product design. Until we see specs, nice looking though. i can't help but want the blue light to be white to match the Apple - Kohler look.

I don't even own a Mac yet(still waiting to see if the second half of the rumor is coming) but that was the best Computer anything commercial I have ever seen! If all Mac commercials were like this is would attract teens like my self.

It's not real; confirmation that there is no god.

Beyond excellent. "Jaw-droppingly astonishing". If Steve Jobs sees it, your video could well change his mind about getting the iTablet released. I'd like to hear what some of the more high profiled lurkers have to say about it.

Best prototype iTablet/iPDA I've seen anywhere, and I've seen just about all of them.

What I could do at work with that thing....

Someone should damn well hire you. Either that or you should start your own shop.

Positively gorgeous device and the ad is brilliantly done. Also, what is that song playing in the background? It's haunting (in an electronic way), I have to have it.

looks good, i'd double check the font though, doesn't look quite right. maybe slow down the rotations/spins a bit. you've done great work, let us enjoy it.

One thing I wanted to add also, the back looks as good as the front.

Can you make a simple movie just showing this thing off i.e. slowly turning?
