Ive been playing the phone game with the local Apple store. I hate having expensive things shipped to my house because no one is ever there during the day and I dont want a computer sitting on the front porch for several hours (if they dont require a sig, which I think they might).
I almost popped a vein when I got home and found that FedEx left my PB at my front door. Although he did try to hide the box with my door mat. It's a good thing I am an honest person.

that's awful - they don't do that in this country (well my postman does!) I don't understand what Apple are doing because they shipped it on Monday yet TNT haven't moved it yet (according to the tracking) - I think it's in the Netherlands. Why couldn't they give it to me this week then????!!!!!!!!

Another said there was no problem, and it was just the stock backup. So after calling and just laying it out, a lovely woman (was a change from the one before) fixed it.

It is disrespectful and I'm pretty pissed about it. I could have had it by now if I wanted a stock one, I could have ordered from somewhere else and not pay tax. But then I wouldn't get my BTO options and my ADC discount.

Apple can't reserve all stock for online purchases. If a lot of people ordered the G5 iMac online and therefore, Apple had a large backlog they would still have to supply G5 iMacs to resellers. It's annoying that people who don't order can get one before you but what are Apple supposed to do? Not give any products to resellers until they have no backlog?
