That MacUser cover is the last issue, its a mockup of an Apple remote, illustrating an article about using a Mac as a media center computer. Nothing more, its fake, move on. They did it before with an article related to mobile phones, with an image of Apple / iPod design looking mobile phones.
This weeks 'Latest issue' is nothing to see regarding Apple hardware, the main feature is a review of Adobe CS 2.
Man get off Kormac dude! He HAS been right on before on keynote information. I am sure you can go back and find it if you weren't too busy calling him names.
Good day

When?
Personally, if ANYTHING comes today, I'll join these:
On that note, I have assurances that any news Apple may have would NOT depend on news coverage of other things.
You have assurances from whom? I'm sorry sir, but you do not have a well established track record of insider information like Kormac. There is no merit for me to believe what you say is true. I will dismiss it as hearsay.

Kormac is a Genius right? All hail the insiders right? When did that Mac User article etc above have *anything* to do with that?
As for my assurances... (which believe me my Merlion you do register as someone I feel the need to explain myself to)you can forget MY assurances and simply contact any one of the MANY Apple PR people. My favorite is a Mrs. Ferris who works large events and is very personable. Any Apple PR specialist will politely answer any question you have within reason. Try this one..
QUESTION: "Would Apple withhold the release of any products or product announcements due to variations in the media coverage?"
ANSWER: "Apple makes every effort to accommodate the media to meet it's deadlines. However we do not alter our media releases based upon those deadlines or other circumstances in the media."
You'd be surprised what a legitimate question will do to silence a bunch or rumor mongering.

So what you are saying is you can not provide me with any assurances that in fact it was cancelled today because of expired pope saturation. You could have just said that instead of going off on some long diatribe about nothing.
Almost 2pm here on the East Coast. I guess we get nothing today. \
I was really expecting something on April 1st, it being Apple's anniversary and all. NAB is less than two weeks away now; I really thought Apple would release a few new things - Tiger at least - so as to focus on the Pro apps at NAB. Under two weeks between announcements seems awfully close together.
Ugh. I hope we don't have to wait till WWDC for ANY new hardware announcements.

I think that today might have been the day but with wall to wall coverage of the pope any apple announcement will get lost.
Better to wait for a slow(er) news week.
Keep on posting K-man, don't let these people get you down.
oh yeah... dance away because technically Komrac was correct.

Good point, but the next 2 weeks stands in the Vaticans sign.
Popes funeral and then the election of a new one.

isn't it no less than 15 days but no more than 20?
If so, then next tuesday would be ideal.
Picking the Tiger release date is harder than speculating who the next pope will be!

well, do you really think this is the point?
all the (computer)magazins and newspaper it-sections would report about such an announcement of apple, despite of the pope's death.
next week is the marriage of a british prince (aka charles)...
well, in this case we can wait a long time.

uh, i doubt it.
Nothing was pegged. Nothing happend. Nobody was right.

Jobs (and more importantly Apple PR) doesn't care anything about JP2's check out. The Tiger release doesn't require big Press (on that scale).
What is this thread even about anymore? It should be tossed.
