Backup Server will be in Leopard Server, so... yes to RolandG, dunno about encrypted (would assume so), and I suspect they're expecting RAID to handle redundancy, although I wouldn't be shocked if they had 'backup targets' that you could choose from, and have multiple servers there.
Once configured, it’s just as easy to use. The new Automatic Client Setup feature automatically configures Mac OS X Leopard clients to use the server for all essential services, including file and printer sharing, Mail, iCal, iChat, Address Book, and backup.
