How to use Apple Notes for instant equation results on iOS 18
I may be using it wrong, but I have found dysfunctionality completely useless in notes. For example, it doesn’t recognise numbers written in a column with a line below it to do a sum. It also does not recognise divisions original as a fraction very often. For example, if you write multiple calculations below each other, and want to do the sum of the results (so a basic table), it doesn’t recognise that, It is just too fickle. -

You can thank your EU overlords for that.
Can Americans not ever have a discussion without becoming political; it’s exhausing. Let it be man, let other societies organise themselves how they want. Go buy a Kinder egg. -

Inside Apple Music: how you can get the most out of Apple's music streaming service
Nice try. It's still confusing. Home has personalised Playlists and generic Playlists; but almost no personal new Album or Song recommendations? And Browse (actually called "New"?) has new Albums and Songs, but they are not personalised. New also has Updated Playlists (wouldn't they be under Home)?
Apple Music Radio only has three stations, why do I have Musica Uno Apple Music Radio, Chill Apple Music Radio and Club Apple Music Radio. And Local Radio is buried somewhere in the 17th row.
Where are the videos and video playlists?
Nope, it's a mess. -
Apple's Home Hub smart home display leaks in iOS beta code
I still don't understand why anyone would prefer to manage their lights, heating, and curtains in one central spot in a big house, instead of in the individual rooms where those things are located. I can understand managing them from a watch or a phone that one always carries around, but a central fixed hub? But what do I know. -
Car makers reject CarPlay Ultra as an Apple overreach
it is ludicrous for a car manufacturer to give Apple access to all its car systems, which will invariably lead to Apple becoming the gatekeeper to the entire tech stack of a car. This in addition to the branding impact. CarPlay is not the end of evolution, for example, the music app is well on CarPlay. Audi music controls are much better. -
BMW confirms it will not support CarPlay Ultra
Once Apple controls the user interface for the entire car, it would only a matter of time until they make demands for the rest of the stack, to “provide the best user experience”.It may end up the other way round: Apple will give access to their data/platforms for a seamless integration with manufacturer’s interfaces. My Audi interface is much nicer than CarPlay, but there is no eco-system behind it. Let the tug of war begin.
