  • Microsoft's 'bug chicks' praise Windows 10, diss Macs in new ad campaign

I use both Mac and Windows on a daily basis - Mac at work, Windows at home. I've lost count of the amount of issues I've had with my PC since I started using Windows 10.
Windows may be 'adding features' but the biggest thing they seem to be adding to the OS is bugs.

Seems every few weeks I'm having to use sfc /scannow or dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to fix some OS issue.

A couple of days ago on my PC my WiFi randomly stopped working when I was in the middle of something. No problem I thought... I'll run the Network Adapter troubleshooter. "One or more network protocols are missing on this computer". What the? Was working perfectly a moment ago now Windows has deleted a network protocol? Guess I'll let the troubleshooter do it's thing... at which point it said something along the lines of Failed to repair the problem.

Okay... guess I'll try tethering via my iPhone to look up a solution to this. Nope, same issue with the newly installed iPhone network interface was completely non-functional too. Great.

Tried half a dozen proposed solutions without any luck. After about half an hour of googling on my phone I finally found some obscure registry entry fix, tried it, ran a command to reset the winsock protocols via cmd.exe rebooted my computer for about the 6th point by this time... and it finally worked again.

I genuinely can't remember the last time something went wrong with my Mac.

  • Malware-infected Transmission 2.9 app threatened OS X users, stopped by XProtect

I can't say I'm very sympathetic to people who get malware in the course of stealing other people's work. It's a bit like getting an STD from a sexual assault.
I only ever used Transmission to to download Linux distros for work in the past.
Just because a program provides access to something that can be used for illegal purposes doesn't mean that's what everyone uses it for.

Would you say the same thing if it was a web browser that had been infected instead? Because that can also be used for legitimate and illegitimate purposes.

  • Samsung warns it will have a tough year in 2016

Samsung will have a tough 2016...............that means Apple will tank! SELL! SELL! SELL!

Yet Apple CEO sits on his hands and does nothing to stop the bleeding.
The stock is down over $30 in a few months.

Stock was close to $570 billion.
A few months ago it was $760 billion.

Apple has lost almost $200,000,000,000 in market cap yet the CEO does NOTHING.
Your constant rants about Apple's stock are always amusing.

Fact is, many people playing the stock market are only in it for the short term profit apparently you seem to be in that group as it's all you ever talk about.
The long term investors in businesses are the ones companies should care about, people like you should be completely ignored as you're concerned with making profit not the business' longevity.

I hope Apple stock continues to decline - it'll only aid their stock repurchase program and with a larger share of their own business, they'll be able to care less and less about the likes of you.
