  • M1X Mac mini will be thinner, use iMac's magnetic power connector says leaker

If it has the same footprint as an old Mac mini and given the size of the M1-motherboard, would it really be impossible to fit in a power brick? It probably won’t need as much power as an old Mac mini?

I would love for this to be a very inexpensive computer! But I see no reason for them to lower the price if it’s just as capable as the old one. The could have this as a 300$ machine, and have a even more specked up machine for 800$. There were some talks some years ago about a modular machine you could build upon by stacking? Given as how thin this is it would work really well as a stackable machine. Would be great if it had like a HD-stack and things like that.

  • Apple still owns rights to Sweden Kungstradgarden plot, could revive store plans

I'm not sure if Apple knew what they were getting themself into when they planed this store. The Kungsträdgården plaza is a rare place uniting the progressive left with the conservative right. In the 60s Stockholm Council wanted to cut down threes to build a Subway-entrancem which was met with wild protests. Basicaly the peak of Sweden's 68-movement. This is one thing everyone in Stockholm knows I would guess many people suport the idea that the plaza is holly and should remain unchanged. I was at the public consultation (townhall?) of the most recent concept of the Store, and people were really furious! their opinion was mostly that this idea is something only the rich people want, which is quite ironic since it later was the conservative right that vowed to block the plans. They generaly don't like anything new or tall, and what the town to have a classic look while the left don't want the plaza to be commercialized. At the consultation a left activist actually had digged up the original permit fot TGI Friday that unfortunaly said that the place can only be a resturant or a cafe. At this point I think it would be very hard for Apple to continue with their plans. But I hope they try to build a underground shop like the one in 5th Avenue or Shanghai. In that way they can remove the TGI building and make the plaza more open and would not block the view from the street. This would of course be more expensive for Apple and frankly I think they would sell more if people had a clearer look of the shop.

  • Intel wants to manufacture Apple Silicon

This is just speculation, but at one time many years ago there was some investigation that Apple and Google where too close due to some anti monopoly law, and the companies started half hearted campaigns attacking each other. Intel’s really bad attack on Apple makes me think that it maybe was a decoy? Could it be seen as some monopoly situation if intel started making all apple’s chips? I don’t remember the exact circumstances of Apple/Google, but this was sometime before Steve Jobs went thermonuclear war with Google.

  • Epic sues Apple after Fortnite removed from App Store

Apple should agree to let Epic use the App Store totally free and without a fee.... and then disable their in App purchases due to technical errors that they aim to solve "within weeks". Then they should offer Epic the option to launch their own App Store on iPhone, but it will intentionally be filled with weird buggs that will make any app running in it crash, hoping to solve all the problems the next year.

  • HQ Trivia app closes down, ends with drunken presenters asking for jobs

I never really understod how they got money. But I guess if they would have been sponsored they could have pulled it through. When all money you get comes from investors its like the Dot-com bubble in the 2000s.

  • Facebook considers telling users enabling tracking keeps app 'free of charge'

Too be honest I don’t understand why Facebook just don’t add a “In order to use this app you need to agree to accept advertising”. The majority of people would press accept without a second thought. The way they do it now is that they educate users that they are actually SPENDING money by using Facebook. This will raise awareness where Facebook is making its money from, adds.

  • Intel details new Skylake chips hinting at Apple's future 15" MacBook Pro specs

How likely would it be for Apple to redesign the MacBooks? They could use a MacBook typ screen, and the keyboard from the new iMac or the MacBook. The new cpu would require less battery so could they make a MacBook Pro machine at the size of a MacBook Air? Maybe this is just wishful thinking since I'm gonna buy a new machine, but it would be great to see a MacBook looking pro. Even if it was a bit thicker it would be gorgeous!
