    •Well I can think of a few dozen medical ones alone. Imagine doing invasive procedures with the ability to look at the person in front of you and having a live overlay of their blood vessels or nerves under ultrasound.
    •I have already seen vets with ultrasounds to check livestock pregnancies have probes that feed directly to VR headset
    •Electronic wiring projected while you are on the job as an instructional tool particularly in difficult to access locations and you can send varieties of manuals/plans
    •Architectural walkthroughs for clients of CAD designed buildings
    •Military Sims (flight/ground combat etc)
    •Links to ROVs in many industries

    One of the issues is fidelity and precision of image as well as something that is ergonomic and if the headset starts looking like this with 8K video (at high enough refresh rate) then $3k is peanuts for the above industries.

  • Review: DJI's Mavic Pro is the best iPhone-connected drone you can buy

    I have this drone (with a 7S) and it is all its cracked up to be. Small, stable great film and easy to control (and relatively hard to crash).

    Three issues however:

    1) The above mentioned home key being obstructed makes getting things going a little harder than it needs to be and fingerprint recognition is out of the question.
    2) The other side holder obscures the light sensor on the iPhone so when you put it in and have auto screen dimming, everything goes black therefore you need to turn auto screen lighting off to see the controls.
    3) It goes through the battery on the phone a lot a session with three batteries on the Mavic (say about an hour depending on what I am doing) nearly drains the iPhone and I am not sure why there is such a large drain. Maybe some offloading of the work onto the iPhone.

    DJI have also just released the FPV goggles so looking forward to using them with the Mavic as well sometimes soon. They seem to have some degree of control over both the drone itself and/or the camera so will be good for videographers.

    I have a Mavic as well and agree with Quarst that the Spark would be better value for money (even without the 4k video).

    The jittery video is just off putting and makes me feel a bit sick whereas the DJI cameras and stabilisation work very very well out of the box.
    Also agree that DJI's customer service is a bit average (being nice here) so you have to take that into account but ultimately it is about the video image that you get and the one from the Camera Passport is very bad.

    Because the heavy Power brick hanging off the wall can dislodge and also a smaller plug is easier to fit into tight spaces. Apple should have included it in the new Macbook Pros as it is a good item to give you range to inconvienient plug locations.

    Also I think one of the underrated products is the Airpods. I was hesitant at first but they are an amazing product. I didnt think I'd use them much but I use them for watching videos, teleconferences and all sorts of things I hadn't really considered. The only issue is that it lets through a lot of sound from external sources so I don't use them with flying for example (I use Bose NC earbuds). Were the Airpods a Tim Cook item or some other 'visionary' because credit where credit is due, they are good.
