Development platforms are gearing up for the Vision Pro. Wolfram products such as WolframAlpha and Mathematica support are in development, and I expect Julia and Python will be offering hooks into the product.

The dangers of using large language models for peer review

ChatGPT responded with totally made up material, sounding quite authoritative. 

Banning ChatGPT would seem a good idea. It would give alternative AI systems which actually can tell the truth an opportunity to be developed -- if that can be done. 

Large Language Models like GPT-4 are inherently lying machines. 

In the year 2000, I dumped all my personal windows machines, after having to reinstall the windows OS for the third time that week. replaced them all with Mac’s. 

Accepting the above at face value, the validity of the cal tech patents have not be adjudicated. The US and Cal Tech argument is purely procedural and not substantive. 

I, for one, don't want patents to exist which violate basic patent law concepts such as prior art. 

Apple and much of the Tech sector have stock valuations that are unreasonably high. Apple's recent PE ratio is now closer to 30, which is likely sustainable (perhaps still too high). NVIDIA is at 50, MSFT. now down to 30-ish, ORCL now 30-ish. TSLA is about 115, while the likes of Toyota is at 7. Ford at 7. None of these stocks are a good buy yet. Much of the recent highs is speculation over the AI hype, which they'll continue to hype for a while yet.

Investors, the not stupid ones, own stock for the long term. So, some were dumb enough to buy stock on the promise of some relatively undefined forward looking product?

I created a new persona this morning. Much better than previous OS. my face looks natural (better than real -- cheaper than a facelift). Also they have better fake eyeglass frames. 

I have a remote board meeting June 19 which uses Zoom. I'll get other board members views.
