  • How to stop Musk's Grok AI from training on anything you've ever said or done on X

Let Grok train on my comments? At least X will then have a pattern of language from someone who knows their ass from a hole in the ground.

I'd hate to think Grok would be training on Elon Musk comments.

  • Imagination Technologies slams Apple for ditching its iPhone GPU tech in earnings call

Imagination is now merely a shell corporation. It does not make stuff. It merely attempts to collect licensing fees on past efforts.

They're no longer in the IT business, it's finance only, like a credit card company.

  • Apple grabs record 91% share of global smartphone profits in Q3, analyst says

Doesn't mean they sold more, just that they make more profit off of what they sell. People are willing to pay more for Apple devices because of the user friendliness, the "sex," the pop culture appeal, the software and hardware integration that makes for a uniform experience, etc.
But under the current crop of Apple executives, and too many investors, Apples cash hoard is the key measure of this company. The real fact is that cash hoard is doing nothing to expand the quality and products and synergies with the lines. As Apple drops product lines to increase their overall margins and look good for Wall Street, they are becoming a one trick pony, much like Microsoft in the past.

Apple needs someone like Nadella at the helm.
  • With Apple abandoning AirPort, here are the best alternative Wi-Fi routers for Mac users

Okay. Time for the Apple executives to be replaced. I don't know if any should be kept on in executive or non-executive positions, or even with the company, but collectively these folks don't have a clue. This replacement needs to be done fast. Apple as no more than 5 years left as a viable company.

Steve Jobs was adamant that one does not worry about stock prices and profit. Both come when one produces innovative products and sells them for what they are worth (maybe what the "market can bare").

For Apple to abandon all products except their most profitable ones is guaranteed to kill the company. Companies grow based on the synergies from all their product lines.

Bottom line. The current crop of Apple executives are proving themselves to wholly incompetent.

  • KGI: iPhone 7 demand has peaked, suppliers to revise down forecasts

I believe KGI's forecast. I think it is right because Apple is essentially killing the Apple Store.

The products are not in stock. There is no reason ever to go into an Apple Store just to look. The best Apple advertising and sale promotional device is to encourage people (not customers, yet!) to walk in to an Apple store on a lark -- while the wife is looking at shoes, or looking for a little special something at Victoria's Secret or the kids are antsy.

But, no product, no reason to walk in to look.

Apple is losing it big time. There's too much constipation at Apple at the top. Too much concern with margins or channel inventory or stock price?

Apple -- stock your damn stores!
