Supreme Court questions Apple's arguments over App Store antitrust suit
That 30% does quite a bit for the developer. They need not maintain their own storefront, They need not attract potential buyers to their own storefront, they need not develop a money collection mechanism that operates around the globe, they need not develop their own customer feedback mechanism, they also get the benefit of having their product reviewed for potential security issues. Not bad for 30% since it comes with over a billion potential customers. -

Apple halts update to HomeKit's new Home architecture
I tried 3 times to upgrade but I kept getting a message that my wife would be locked out of the home. All devices were at the right release level. Turns out my wife’s phone had a MyHome registered in addition to our named home. Once I deleted that from her phone all went well. IMHO Apple back to work full time in their buildings can’t come fast enough. Testing and documentation have really fallen. -

Apple in 2019 and the case of the expensive iPhone
Apple users will very likely remain and grow their apple purchases. The ecosystem and the reliability / security continue to draw converts. Phones simply last longer than they used to. We used to crave for a new phone every year or two due to changes from 2G-3G-4G, extended battery life, and larger screens. We need not chase the technology anymore. Now a 1000 hand set is really a 4 year investment. Or about 20 bucks a month. -
