  • Watch: Everything you need to know about Apple's macOS High Sierra release

I don’t appear to be able to update yet, Tuesday morning in the UK. I have a 2013 iMac.
Same here. But I am in India, and maybe it updates at a different time? That has not been the case so far, but there's always a first time!

Right now I only had an iMovie update and then nothing else showing up.

    Cheers

  • Apple is de-bloating iTunes with latest 12.7 release, removes App Store

    *SNIPPED FOR RELEVANCE*

on that line of thinking though I'd rather see Preview disappear and rolled into iBooks so that PDFs are read directly in iBooks but add Previews annotation functionality.
I'd rather not. I use Preview to view files other than just PDFs. Your opinion is probably based purely on PDFs and nothing else.

  • Apple ditches physical SIM cards from all US iPhone 14 models

so i need to buy an iphone 14 outside the US to be able to use it traveling outside the US?
    *SNIP*

The iPhone 13 and 14 both support dual ACTIVE eSIMs,*SNIP*
Are you 100% sure of that? The reason I ask is because I did not hear Apple saying this in their presentation.

Where I am (and maybe elsewhere too) people use at least two numbers on one phone, one for work and one for personal use; and both are active at the same time. This feature, if available with just eSIMs would be a boon for such people.

    Thanks and cheers

  • Apple passkey feature will be our first taste of a truly password-less future

What about sites/apps for which we already have created passwords? Can they be migrated to use this system instead (and remove those old passwords from the app/site) without losing any prior features/data from said app or site?

Or is this only for any new accounts we create?

Many of us have so many logins for sites and apps we have been using for all these years, and if we have to create new accounts for all of these, thereby losing all history, it would not be very helpful.

Also, what happens with those sites or apps that need/ask for password changes every few months? Many sites have password policies that require one to change passwords regularly.

Would sites/apps need to implement this feature (like “Sign In with Apple” that most sites have not implemented at all) or is this something that needs no involvement from the site itself?

    Thanks and cheers
