I have a 13" touchbar.

It's a great laptop, the industrial design is on point. Touch bar has potential. USB-C is the future.

Yet...

It feels only minutely faster than my 2012 mbp. 4 years later, super expensive laptop, and it kinda just runs the same.

The battery life is awful. Normally new laptops, the battery life feels incredible. No, this runs like an old laptop.


What is going on??? Who is to blame? Intel? Apple? Every year our phones get faster and faster and faster... yet a four year upgrade on a mbp is barely noticeable, yet now far  more expensive. With all the complaints about dongles and gimmick touch bar and blah blah blah -- the most important thing, performance and battery is what actually sucks about these laptops. One thing is for certain, Moore's law is dead.

The constant pining for Apple's doom is maddening. 

Why not take over Google? Or Microsoft? Or Facebook? Samsung? Sony?

No, time and time again, apparently it's Apple that needs to be knocked down a peg or two.

Cool. They changed the size of the screen. Remember when Apple events used to be exciting?

The amount of articles and nerd rage about notches and cutouts is completely baffling to me.

Goes to show how spoilt we are that a despite having a bezel-less, full screen, slab of glass device in our hands today, people still bitch and moan because of a small area required for cameras and sensors. How did these people get by with any phone or iPod pre-2018?

Just open up iOS to xbox / ps4 controllers already. A very small portion of the market are ever going to bother buying a dedicated controller for their iPhone - Apple are leaving a huge opportunity for the App Store to become a legitimate gaming platform.

It just boggles the mind how no matter what Apple do, people hate, whine and complain.

If this was the new google pixel there would be nothing but universal praise.
