  • Apple resurrects full-size HomePod with updated acoustics

Until Apple fixes the “hey Siri” failings of their HomePod, I won’t buy this. I’m happy with the sound of my old ones, but Siri is virtually unusable. I have to turn it off. Whenever I use it when my iPhone is nearby or wearing my watch, the HomePod takes over, but the HomePod can’t do some of the requests that the iPhone can perform, making it useless, so I just turn off that functionality on the HomePod. Even lifting my watch, or unlocking my iPhone doesn’t work of the the time, the HomePod still takes over, making my request not performable.  I really do not understand why Apple won’t allow something like “hey HomePod” instead of hey Siri for everything.

  • Apple debuts $549 AirPods Max over-ear headphones

So, are these ridiculously bass heavy like the HomePod is, no equalizer works with my 3 HomePods, and there’s just too much bass. I don’t understand why Apple doesn’t allow us to fine tune in to our liking. Oh that’s right everything Apple does is to perfection. Well, at this price, I am not gonna take the chance.

  • 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon M1 review: Unprecedented power and battery for the ...

I really don’t understand the fascination with having a touch screen Mac.  I cringe every time someone wants to point to my screen and actually touches it with their filthy greasy fingers. I certainly don’t want to touch my own screen with my greasy filthy fingers and have to keep wiping it down and cleaning it. The Mac screen so much more delicate than the iPad screens, my screen has blemishes all over it, I think it’s wearing the surface coating or something off, and I’ve hardly ever touched it except by accident or some idiot touching it to point something out. Wheras my iPad screens clean up with just a simple wipe. If you want to touch screen laptop then by all means stick with your beloved Windows machines, otherwise just use an iPad.

  • HomePod of the future may only answer Siri queries if you look at it

Absolutely useless for people with low vision, or who are blind, or the HomePod is out of the line of sight,. There is one simple solution that I do not understand why Apple doesn’t implement. Hey HomePod or hey Siri pod or whatever the hell else you want to use as an alert phrase. We could even have custom FrasesWhy couldn’t the person program HomePod to respond to, let’s say something ridiculous like rumplestillskin.  Remember the reports of how angry Steve Jobs was over mobile me?, I’m sure he would be livid over this HomePod, iPhone, watch Siri differentiation issue. What really sucks that if I’m in a room with my  HomePod, phone and watch that I do not know where Siri will come from, especially when it’s a personal request and the HomePod responds with I can’t do that. Steve Jobs is probably rolling over in his grave

  • Apple's iPhone 12 mini has us questioning our larger phones

The mini’s tiny keyboard is useless to me due to my larger fingers.
I have fat fingers too. And the small keyboard of the iPhone 4 was way easier and recognized my intended keystrokes better than my 7 max or my X. I think it’s because I don’t have to stretch my short fat fingers as far to reach the proper key

  • Apple refining Siri to cut down on mistaken activations, and to draw less power

Several times a day, Siri askes me to repeat myself when I haven’t even said “hey Siri “. And it’s extremely frustrating to call out Siri on my phone and have my HomePod respond 45 feet away in the other room. I’ve had my HomePod Respond when I’m in my bedroom and one of my home Pod in the kitchen, and there is my 22 foot wide living room in between my bedroom and the kitchen. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know why Apple simply won’t allow us to change the activation for HomePod to something like “hey HomePod “instead of hey Siri. Steve Jobs would’ve been furious about the way Siri works much like the way he was furious about mobile me.

  • Kensington StudioDock available to preorder starting at $379

It’s a dock. With charging capabilities and easy hook up to monitor. For $400????? No SD cards for expanding memory, no hard drive, no nothing else, it’s just a dock? Quite expensive in my humble opinion, but like wow it’s a dock I don’t get it. And I won’t get it, maybe if it was $129 I get it, but it’s a dock, what am I missing?Maybe I’m not seeing something. Help me out on this one, I don’t see the attraction unless you got money to burn, which is OK, but it’s just a dock.

  • Apple's AirPods Pro 2's impressive hearing test launch date confirmed

Seriously think the reviewer is completely off base with his criticism of the size of the AirPods. AirPods are much larger and easier to use than any hearing aid on the market. Some of the hearing aids are nearly impossible to handle by an elderly person. This is why listening to or reading reviews is in many cases completely useless.
