  • Apple resurrects full-size HomePod with updated acoustics

Until Apple fixes the “hey Siri” failings of their HomePod, I won’t buy this. I’m happy with the sound of my old ones, but Siri is virtually unusable. I have to turn it off. Whenever I use it when my iPhone is nearby or wearing my watch, the HomePod takes over, but the HomePod can’t do some of the requests that the iPhone can perform, making it useless, so I just turn off that functionality on the HomePod. Even lifting my watch, or unlocking my iPhone doesn’t work of the the time, the HomePod still takes over, making my request not performable.  I really do not understand why Apple won’t allow something like “hey HomePod” instead of hey Siri for everything.

  • Apple debuts $549 AirPods Max over-ear headphones

So, are these ridiculously bass heavy like the HomePod is, no equalizer works with my 3 HomePods, and there’s just too much bass. I don’t understand why Apple doesn’t allow us to fine tune in to our liking. Oh that’s right everything Apple does is to perfection. Well, at this price, I am not gonna take the chance.

  • HomePod of the future may only answer Siri queries if you look at it

Absolutely useless for people with low vision, or who are blind, or the HomePod is out of the line of sight,. There is one simple solution that I do not understand why Apple doesn’t implement. Hey HomePod or hey Siri pod or whatever the hell else you want to use as an alert phrase. We could even have custom FrasesWhy couldn’t the person program HomePod to respond to, let’s say something ridiculous like rumplestillskin.  Remember the reports of how angry Steve Jobs was over mobile me?, I’m sure he would be livid over this HomePod, iPhone, watch Siri differentiation issue. What really sucks that if I’m in a room with my  HomePod, phone and watch that I do not know where Siri will come from, especially when it’s a personal request and the HomePod responds with I can’t do that. Steve Jobs is probably rolling over in his grave

  • 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon M1 review: Unprecedented power and battery for the ...

I really don’t understand the fascination with having a touch screen Mac.  I cringe every time someone wants to point to my screen and actually touches it with their filthy greasy fingers. I certainly don’t want to touch my own screen with my greasy filthy fingers and have to keep wiping it down and cleaning it. The Mac screen so much more delicate than the iPad screens, my screen has blemishes all over it, I think it’s wearing the surface coating or something off, and I’ve hardly ever touched it except by accident or some idiot touching it to point something out. Wheras my iPad screens clean up with just a simple wipe. If you want to touch screen laptop then by all means stick with your beloved Windows machines, otherwise just use an iPad.
