  • Apple cancels AirPower wireless charging mat, citing quality issues

    LOL

Perhaps it will teach Timmy & Co to go back to good, old, well tested Apple product management practices of NOT announcing product till they are ready to ship (meaning they are also properly tested)!

Now if they had done the same with certain keyboards too,  a lot of grief on both sides of the coin would have been avoided.
Stop trolling please. The discussion has been going well. We don't need these "Timmy" trolling comments.

I have to seriously laugh at some of the hater comments here. Time after time when Apple has a blunder with one of their products then the haters go on a rampage saying Apple's QC has gone down. Today the company announces their wireless charging mat is presenting some technical problems and they are not ready to ship it. Sounds like the company is on top of the QC here. Apple doesn't want to put out a faulty product and the trolls come alive here trashing Apple for doing the right thing. Hmm.
It has gone down, and it not trolling. We see quality issues both in hardware and software that would not have slipped in the past.
That's not the trolling I was referring to. I'm talking about calling Tim Cook "Timmy". It's a snide remark and and attempt at trolling. It's no better than that "Courage" remark thrown around. I have no problem with people expressing some disappointment but snide remarks are unnecessary for a civil discussion.

  • Microsoft Store loses eBook sales fight, will refund users & delete books in July

Wow. What a surprise... NOT! TV shows and movies are probably on the next list of removing. To be honest, I'm NOT even a big fan of Apple's iBook. Some updates they messed up my collections and especially PDFs just disappeared; plus iBook Store's book collections are not that great. Kindle is my go-to eBook and Acrobat app is where PDFs belong. Sorry, Apple, and so so very sorry, Microsoft, for the bad news.
Gotta love how an article about Microsoft ends in a trash post towards Apple when Apple has nothing to do with this article. SMH.

(I feel a little bit better about my recent AirPod purchase :) )
Well aside from features, Apple generally improves sound quality on their products without announcing it. The 2018 MBP 15" has new speakers that add more rich bass and it's very obvious when compared to the 2017 MBP 15", but Apple has not mentioned anything on their website about improved sound. I would bet the new Air Pods sound significantly better.

  • Netflix drops AirPlay support citing unnamed 'technical limitations'

Actually and to be frank e have discontinued use of Apple on all of our 4 smart LG tv’s - and the only device we now use is Roku. We found Apple device too controlling in switching devices including to the TV ... also Apples latest boxes always came on no matter when we did not even want to use them. It became unbearable - so they are all in a box waiting for the next garage sale. We are new to the Roku box but like these very much.
Thanks for that useless post of trolling. It has nothing to do with the article.

I can't believe how long it takes one of the most valuable companies in the world with near endless resources so long to make a computer when they've been in the computer making business for over 40 years. It's so embarrassing. Pointless iterations of iPhone after iPhone because they sell well. The computers might sell a bit better if they updated them once in a while  :|
Uh maybe because they are human and money doesn't make a human immortal sir. Think about it. Just because you think it's easy....Also keep in mind the millions of fatheads in the world Apple has to please. Imagine if you had to cater to that many people who criticize you for waking up in the morning.

I mean, I'm a Mac user through and through, but man if my livelihood counted on render times more than it does now, I'd probably be strongly considering biting the bullet and getting one of these to get my work done.

I'm optimistic that Apple is aware of these issues by now and did not go into this Mac Pro thing to half-ass it, but we'll see soon enough I guess. :D
You've got to be kidding! Sure, anyone would expect the Mac Pro to handle better than what most expect but Adobe's Creative Suite is NOT something Apple should FIX their Macs to work well with. It's the software developer's responsibility to make sure their products work efficiently with both MacOS and Windows. If you disagree with that then you're an Apple hater, because I find your post to be highly one-sided and unfair.

  • WWDC 2019 ticket emails going out to lottery winners

Well, I'm not a developer, so congrats to the winners! BUT...I feel like I have the best seat in the house for the Keynote anyway. I'll be right here sitting in my dining room with a fresh cup o Joe watching the keynote on my 2018 MBP 15". No money spent on gas, lodging or food. Kitchen and bathroom are only a few steps away. LOL. Can't wait for next Monday. I'm not into paying for streaming services (other than Netflix) but I'm sure Apple will be offering something intoxicating.
