Apple Silicon Mac Pro does not support PCI-E Radeon video cards
The death of the Mac Pro has started. The Mac Studio was always meant to become the content creators’ workhorse. Shame. How cool would a render beast be with multiple video cards. But really, who needs so much local render power any longer - web render farms have become so cheap that keeping up your own farm simply isn’t worth it. -

Apple's new 27-inch iMac with Apple Silicon - what to expect, and when it might be announc...
I’d be fine with a new iMac Pro at the same 27” like I currently have (2017 first release). But what I want is for Apple to release a simple Mac Mini Pro/Max. Just give me the 2021 MacBook Pro without a screen, but all the guts & glory from inside. That’s it. I should only cost 2/3 of the same spec’ed MacBook, so for a 64GB RAM w/ 4TB SSD it should cost ($4900 * 0.67) $3300. That would be an insane deal. Even at $4000, it would be a solid done deal.
please Apple - make my year. -
Apple's new iCloud+ tiers are too much for consumers, too little for professionals
Conspiracy theorists here: Live Photo is a scam to use up iCloud storage. I, and many friends and family, see no use of this option - and we detest it can’t be forced off…only temporarily disabled. But it always somehow turns itself back on. Texts take longer to send because of it, and it chews up data. I hate it. Please Apple, just give us a OFF.

M2 Pro, M2 Max MacBook Pro models could arrive by the fall
Where’s the Mac Pro? I wonder if they are waiting to release the M2 Extreme where 4 or more clusters work in concert? Where the M1 Mac had only one edge for their interconnect, perhaps the M2 Max could have 2 edge interconnects permitting 4 chips. Or maybe they’re working on a “co-processor” setup where the redundancies of multiple M2 Max chips are consolidated to a set of Maxes and a series of daughter chips permitting the user to configure the system to what best applies to their work: 4 GPU only chips added, 2 more 48-core CPU clusters, or more video coprocessors. This would permit an actual upgradable chassis component design. -

Apple confirms that there is no Apple Silicon 27-inch iMac in the works
I loved my iMac Pro. It was a stopgap til the Mac Pro could be resurrected, but I also feel many users appreciated the single chassis solution the iMac Pro offered. And the performance was solid. Today I have a Mac Studio M1 Ultra connected to two monitors: a widescreen LG and a 16:9 Asus. I’ve got good desktop real estate because I can put the Studio pushed away, but I really miss that 5K display. It’s a shame Apple killed Target Display mode, I’d bet many an iMac Pro (or standard) user would have just purchased the Studio head instead…so yeah, they had to kill the Target Display. :-(

iPad Pro updates ignite consumer interest, giving a giant boost to sales
I dare to assume that kind of wishful thinking, that the pro tablet COULD be a full solution, still drives a large parte of iPad Pro sales. Except maybe for Procreate based illustrators, but even there, I find a budget Wacom to be more sensitive than Apple Pencil… Anyone with a better actual experience? -
