Let them use web apps. Then they can use any payment system they want and don't have to pay Apple a cent for any of it. Isn't that what they want? -
French publishers ask Tim Cook to abandon forthcoming Web Eraser
"Besides the extremely short notice period and the lack of detailed and verified information on this new feature," says the letter, "it raises numerous questions, particularly concerning legal and editorial responsibilities that Apple has still not responded to."Why would Apple respond to a question about something they literally haven’t even announced? One website posted a rumor and these people are jumping the gun to attack Apple. Even if it happens, we have no idea how it will work. Not to mention, there will be months of beta testing that is specifically to get feedback.

Apple's Core Technology Fee at the center of EU's first DMA violation investigation
gatorguy said:phillyfanatic09 said:gatorguy said:phillyfanatic09 said:Again, the EU is saying Apple needs to allow competitors free access to its technology and platform. At fines of a billion dollars a day, Apple would be better off abandoning the EU market. At tough pill but the EU seems determined to have a PC style market for smart phones where all manufacturers pretty much offer the same devices and services and there’s little innovation or profit.
We are already seeing Apple delaying implementation of Apple Intelligence in the EU over the DMA; as AI becomes increasingly integrated into Apple’s ecosystem, with older devices aging out, this will be another issue that will need to be resolved.
