As someone who uses other operating systems, I’m curious as to what you think iOS/macOS/etc are “missing” that doesn’t involve a) more annoying advertising and/or b) more security risks.

Please include specific benefits that Apple users are “missing out on.”

Oh the list is long. i.E emulators have been forbidden for years. Now they are allowed but crippled. JIT is forbidden. Why? It’s allowed in safari where *any* code could come from a malicious website, but forbidden in an emulator? Apple sure loves to control everything. Then let’s talk about ram and ssd prices. Then let’s talk about disabling audiograms and promoting their own hearing aid, but not making it available in places where the audiogram solution worked for years before… etc. etc.

How would iOS know when I'm being tracked and when I'm not? Is it just based on time? What's the time minimum that triggers the warning? An hour? A day? A week?

If the owner is nearby the tag, I guess that would suppress that kind of message.

100%.  You literally couldn't take away enough rights to make the world safe, there will always be criminals - they're just stabbing there instead of shooting at their rivals.  People are welcome to give up their own rights, not mine.

Oh yeah. All those cruel mass stabbings in European schools are heartbreaking. The couple was also stabbed to death while trying to get their car back.

I think they can still get compensation. But why, I thought they sell phones. Why shouldn’t the OWNER of the phone have a choice where he licenses his software??

Apple is a perfectly greased machine to get the last penny out of its customers. What’s missing is a vision for the future. So, Mable a change at the top wouldn’t be that bad after all.
