When will Apple upgrade all of its Macs to M4?
It’s funny how Apple (TSMC) has been making M4 chips for months now, and only the iPad has been released that is using it…. Why?My guess is that Apple is using the M4 chips that it’s making and putting them into the specialised hardware that is to run Apple Intelligence in their Datacentres. It’s the only plausible explanation for such a gap. This being the (likely) case, it must be a Golden chip!! -
If your iPhone alarms aren't going off, you're not alone
I have experienced this many times over the years and it’s been extremely frustrating.I have found recently what the issue is. Randomly, during the night while my iPhone is charging, it will reconnect over Bluetooth to my AirPods which are sitting in a drawer.Yes the AirPods are in the case.I may not have used the AirPods for days. But when I’ve had the “no alarm” situation, every time now it’s because the sound output is going to my not-being-used AirPods.Definitely worth checking.A friend of mine complained about the same no sound issue and I told him all this. And yes, he had the same issue. Not sure if it’s relevant, but it is the AirPods Pro that I have. -

Apple removed over 540,000 abandoned apps from the App Store in Q3
darkvader said:Yet another reason Apple needs to be forced to open up the iPhone to user-installed apps. Not everything needs to be 'updated'. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is actively user hostile behavior from Apple.@Darkvader - welcome to the 21st century. You can’t stick with GrandMa’s old sayings these days.Ever heard of Zero Day Exploits, Security Patches, Hotfixes, software updates ?In this century, it is Updated or you are Outdated. Pick one. -
