  • Folding iPhone could automatically protect itself from drops

I don’t know who are these people who want a foldable iPhone. I don’t like the idea of a foldable iPhone. No one that I know really wants a foldable iPhone except for Android people. I’m not sure. I don’t think I could stand having a crease down the middle of a screen. I don’t think I could stand having a screen that flexes and warps the image every time I press down on it.

I think Apple is doing this so when someone comes up with a phone like this (that closes as it falls) they can claim that it was their idea and perhaps get licensing for it.

My iPhone 14 Pro has fallen from my jacket pocket many times with the thinnest of cases and no damage, so far.

  • More M4: When the Mac will get upgraded with the latest Apple Silicon

I just bought a MacBook Pro with an M3 Pro last year to replace the same computer that had an Intel i7 in it. I am happy with the performance boost and making my computer more inline with the future. If a MacBook Pro with an M4 appears, I will stick to my M3 Pro because it still works for me. Until I see something that the M4 does that my M3 Pro cannot do, I will be happy.

I’m an old computer guy. I still remember the days when you buy an IBM PC compatible and, sometimes less than a year, a new model comes out that makes you feel like your current model is obsolete. It wasn’t obsolete, but you could not help but feel like it was.

  • Apple TV drops 'Up Next' in new design rolling out to users

Right after an update, my Up Next disappeared. I waited a little while, I think I unloaded the app and then reloaded it, and the Up Next came back. I don’t know if maybe this was a glitch, or maybe I had a slow Internet at the time, but the feature came back. I hope they keep it. I like the Up Next. I wish Netflix was part of it.

  • Flexbar review: Could be the heir-apparent to the Touch Bar, someday

Interesting. It's almost as if people miss the Touch Bar.
I know a lot of people didn’t like the Touch Bar, but I liked it. I liked the idea of a smart button that changed to what you needed, but I didn’t like the escape key being one of the soft buttons—that must be a physical key. Later implementations of the Touch Bar had a physical escape key. I also wished for haptic feedback to make the keys feel more physical. Apple never did this, but it looks like the Flexbar might have this. I might be interested in this device when it comes out.
