  • visionOS 2.4 beta brings several long-awaited features to Apple Vision Pro

I need to try out the Vision Pro.  I have always assumed that requiring reading glasses would make it a PITA; I know they offer lenses, but I am just dubious about how well that would work.  I have 20/20 over two feet and need correction for less than two feet; even 1.5 magnifiers work for me. I don't even need a prescription. Has anyone in a similar position tried the VP?

I want an M6 Mac Studio Ultra... drool.
Why? It won't be significantly faster than what is available now.
    Want to bet?

  • Mac Studio review roundup: Still the fastest on the block

Had the latest Studio been an M4 Ultra, I'd have changed up my M2 Ultra,  I don't see the 30% gain is worth the cost (trying to convince myself here).  I really should wait for what comes next in the Ultra range.  M5 or M6?

I am surprised that so many people wear them at night. I am retired, but if I was still having to go to work I would not have time to charge it before leaving.  What do people still working do about that? By the way, I get congratulations all the time from my Apple Watch for beating my sleep goal, one of the many joys of retirement!
I usually end my day with anywhere from 40-50% batter left.  That's plenty for overnight sleep tracking.  After I wake up I drop it on the charger charger and it's usually close to full by the time I'm ready to leave the house.
I do the reverse: I charge it before I go to bed. My charger is on my night table, so I don't forget to put it back on. Plus I change to a more comfortable (breathable fabric) band at night.
All good strategies.  I bet in a version or two, we will see even longer battery durations.

There's this little thing called a democracy where the people have the power to decide who leads the country and who doesn't. And they have spoken.
You know "the people have spoken" makes no sense when the popular vote goes to one candidate (the loser) and the EC vote goes to the winner, right?
Regarding the the electoral college ...  Well remember how big this country is, the horse ride to take the results to the counting centers takes a few days, how could America have any other system ... Oh wait ...

Very nice although I am conflicted over whether I feel the chimneys should be removed or not.    Perhaps if they can be put to an obviously new use but if just a reminder of the coal age I'm not so sure.  I of course realize they represent an (in)famous visual land mark too, hence my inner conflict.

Oh and the helipad seems missing.
