  • Paul Manafort's iPod, ex-Apple employee's $243K embezzlement, and other news from the Appl...

Not sure where this supposed Italian quote came from but the Y in this quote is Spanish, not Italian. There is no Y in the Italian language. Just to be clear — here’s the quote “hai furtuno “Y” io hai destine [You have fortune, I have destiny]"”. For a NAPOLITANO she sure doesn’t speak Italian. Y = “and” in Spanish.... E = “and” in Italian. It should be, “e” not “y” — Ok, I’m done.

  • Canadian sues Apple over Apple Watch scratches that he made [u]

Ok. I bought a series 1 sport w sport band a couple of years ago to engage in “sports” activity. After two months or so I had lots of scratches on the screen, I was very disappointed and felt the watch was not up to being called a “sport” watch. I called Apple, started a case and explained that I bought the watch to work out, fish, and those types of activities and that I felt the watch was not living up to its moniker. I didn’t point to a specific line regarding “scratch resistance or indestructibility” but merely was assertive in regards to it being advertised as a sport accessory. You get the idea. They aggreed after a couple of support reps heard my convincing plea. They sent me a new sport and said maybe there is something wrong with the specific one I bought, they wanted to inpect it. Hence, now, I am wearing my replacement sport, a few years later, same activities enjoyed throughout and the watch is absolutely scratch free. The guy shoulda taken the replacement — sometimes there are devices that are indeed defective and lots of times it’s your approach with Apple (or anyone you need help from). Attitude has a lot to do with how someone, anyone, gets through life and gets reciprocal treatment. Apple stores can be pompous though at times, I have experienced that, sadly. Calling Apple for me has had good results. Although I’m still pissed about my 2010 MacBook Pro graphic card defect that causes kernel panics (it’s unusable and was $2500) and I missed the repair extension period, man that irks me. Maybe I should sue — nah, I’m going to the beach, life is truly way too short.

  • 14-inch MacBook Pro with M1 review: Where the 'Pro' starts

Uhhhhhhhhh. What about music production my friend?! A lot of us pro engineers/musicians are wondering whether the max or the pro is better for logic, music production, etc. how this was left out of your review is really unacceptable. Especially since music production is one of the main things Macs are used for in that industry. But you’re covered coding at about .00002% of the population does. You get my drift. Your long review helped me absolutely 0% and what to buy for my home studio, thanks.

  • Drake's Scorpion on Apple Music crushes Spotify in streaming

I am not a prude. I have 10 and 11 year old sons and this is popular music. This Drake music is appalling. Offensive. Every other word is the N word. The F word. How can anyone use this as an example of anything? It’s disgusting. Let me explain, I’m a writer. When you have to use those words every sentence to make your point, you’re a weak storyteller who lacks ANY creativity. It’s lazy wrtitying and says nothing. Zero. Again, I’m not a downer but just cannot believe that this is somehow considered art, or a mainstream anything. I just pulled up Apple Music and it’s highlightedvand as the first thing that comes up. Sad. Truly sad — the state of music. As a parent, I’m offended by anyone, any company, anywhere, who highlights or points to this as something relevant. It’s trash.

  • iPhone survives fall from Alaska Airlines midair blowout

My guess is that because of the small size and the flatness the iPhone dropped more like a leaf than a rock. Tree or brush branches may have decelerated the fall enough to keep it undamaged.

My real question is: how was this found, when it was in airplane mode and would not have responded to Find My searches?

  • Facebook whistleblower says Congress needs to act to stop a growing crisis

My kids are 13 and 15. They do not use Facebook. They laugh at it. Even instagram. It’s Snapchat and f’in tik tok, I think. Regardless, Facebook isn’t even slightly relevant for kids. Trust me, I’m a teacher. Childish adults? Yes. Kids, no.
