Apple CEO Tim Cook attends secret meeting with tech and government elite to plot end to Trump presi
No offense, and I'm not at all a Trump supporter, but if that is who the American people choose, then that is who they choose. This is especially frightening if people within the government themselves are looking to interfere in the electoral process. Why don't Tim and these big tech companies plot to help a candidate they support win instead? -

FCC approves $26.5 billion T-Mobile and Sprint merger
We actually have six wireless networks in the US. C-Spire and US Cellular both operate independent networks, though they don’t have coverage in every state. The opposition claims we’ll be left with only 3 networks, which if true would still be enough to foster good competition, but there will actually be 5 instead of the current 6. As a T Mobile customer I am looking forward to this merger as it will likely drastically improve already greatly expanding coverage. -
Apple Time Capsule lives on with third-party antenna, 5TB hard drive update
Everyone on here need to head on over to apple.com/feedback and give them a piece of your mind about the discontinuation of airport routers. Let them know that they are important to you as a customer and maintaining your business. I don't think any of us want to have to buy that ugly ass helicopter router and have it morph into a spider in the middle of the night and eat our families. -

Popular iPhone XR 'saved' Apple, says report
Anyone remember the iPhone 5C? It was a lower priced colorful alternative. It did not perform anywhere near the level of the XR. The XR is just the right phone at the right time. The features of the top models have pushed prices past what most consumers are willing to spend. The X and 11 fill a niche, and I am in that niche. I love all the colors but when it comes down to it performance and camera are most important to me. -

Epic vs. Apple: What Apple is being forced to do to the App Store
This ruling is beyond stupid. Especially the part where Apple isn’t allowed to explain that when leaving the app they will be working with the developer and not Apple for any transactions. That’s just giving the user all the facts but that’s considered a “scare screen”. If the message were exaggerated or untruthful it would be one thing, but it isn’t. Now all they can say is “you’ll leave the App Store”. For many users, they will still be under the impression that they are dealing with Apple for the purchase. Not everybody is as tech minded as the rest of us.
The only part of the ruling I agree with is that if people make external purchases on an app that aren’t done through the App Store, Apple shouldn’t be able to charge a commission in that instance. However, if you’re requiring Apple to allow crazy pop-ups and splash screens that take users deliberately out of the App Store, then suddenly that requirement becomes burdensome to Apple as they are providing the platform to now funnel money to the developer for which they get no cut. dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb -
