FAA names airports protected by C-Band 5G rollout buffer
jamnap said:OK, so not being an expert on radio bandwidth, can someone help me understand in layman terms why TMO network is not mentioned, only ATT & Verizon. One thing disappointing about my TMO service is there is no data connections (5G nor LTE) to their netwirk when inside FLL airport, terminal 4, G gate area. Thanks -
Google Fi introduces eSIM support for existing iPhone customers
ivanh said:Is it used in the US only? How to get it and use it in other countries?
As far as using it outside the US, if you're going to be traveling through multiple countries it's a *really* convenient solution vs. buying multiple local SIMs or being a T-Mobile customer (which is free 2G data, Fi is 4G data).]
The only thing that keeps me from using it as my US provider too is that they use T-Mobile/Sprint/US Cellular's network in the US, which where I live just isn't good. -

Users can buy iCloud storage in addition to Apple One plans, for up to 4TB
This still does me no good.
Currently:
Family Music $14.99
2TB iCloud $9.99
The Family bundle doesn't work, 200 GB isn't enough storage.
The Premier bundle doesn't *save* me money unless I want 2 more services (or Fitness+) I don't already subscribe to.
Adding the 2TB to the Family bundle moves the cost up to $30, same situation. -

How the Apple-Goldman Sachs relationship became an unhappy marriage
"In lieu of a potential suitor, Apple could potentially go it alone, sources say, with a virtually invisible partner that's out of view of consumers. "
For 99% of potential Apple Card customers (who do not include the people that read AI), Goldman is certainly invisible *before* they sign up, and even after sign up they're *way* in the background.

Apple TV+ may bundle with Paramount+ to cut subscriber losses
davgreg said:Still think Apple getting into streaming TV was a mistake and this may be pointing to a future "I told you so" moment.
If Apple wants to get serious they could buy the company that owns Paramount and get a huge library of Viacom, CBS and Paramount content. The CBS television network which includes a news division and a sports division. A laundry list of channels. The Pluto ad supported streaming service.
The collection of satellite/cable channels cover children, music, sports, comedy and much more.
By ownership of CBS they get a significant package of College & NFL Football, College Basketball to include March Madness and other sports properties.
Paramount is controlled by a private company called National Amusements that could likely be bought for pocket change. The public shares are currently less than $10 Billion, so it would be an easy pickup if Apple wants to go there.
Paramount would do much better without the meddlesome Redstone family. -
