  • Comey: 'Of course' FBI would leverage precedent in San Bernardino case

Mr. Comey is a fox in sheep's skin. He is showing his true color. It was never just "This one phone"!

  • Chicago flagship Apple store dimming lights at night to prevent further migratory bird dea...

Not an ornithologist either, but I think Apple should be credited to try to do the right thing, even if it makes any different or not. First of all, I assume none of those migratory birds are flying at that low of an altitude the Apple Store is at compared to the surrounding Chicago skyline. From what I recall, I think that stupid a$$ Trump Tower right down the corner is probably a much bigger problem for those migratory birds consider how anti-environment he is. Please leave Apple out.

  • Apple Stores suffering from 'cult' atmosphere, advancement barriers, says UK staffer

It is not just Business Insider, but you should read MarketWatch or read or watch CNBC. Especially on CNBC, majority of their folks, especially Melissa Lee (who I believe is Korean-American), try so hard to make Apple look like crap, even when the person they have on show is explaining positive information on Apple. When all fails, she will abruptly check the subject and move on find another angle to beat up on Apple.

  • Court overturns Apple's $120M patent win against Samsung

Government and US courts playing dirty politics. I am not surprised either. I am sure Apple is not going to worry about couple hundred millions. Do they think Apple will buckle and given them their GovOS? Government is now acting like a spoiled rotten kid.

  • 'Hello again:' Apple sends invitations for event on Oct. 27, new MacBook Pros expected

The more important question: what's up with that smoky, deep pink, partially obscured Apple?
It's Halloween! Fog and smoke! And Pink because October is month of Breast Cancer awareness. Just my thoughts.

  • U.S. government questions Apple over iPhone slowdown debacle

This is really getting ridiculous! First of, I do feel what Apple did, slowing down the phone, was to provide better value for the customer. It allows them to push their buying decision for new phone further down the line. Rechargeable batteries do have some end of life. As far as the speed goes, let's get real - Phones are communication and utility device, they are not solving some mission critical problem where a slowness is impacting the owners need. Yes, Apple did one thing wrong. Not informing their customer that they are switching into that mode. Couldn't they have used the "Power Save" mode to do exactly what they were doing otherwise?

In any case, Apple apologized and I think they have provided a generous deal for battery replacement. What I don't like is some French government action prompted this administration to question Apple and that too from an official who doesn't understand technology. Maybe, we should have out representative go question auto car manufacturer - It is commonly known that there are speed governors in car with electronics where it controls your max speed limit. The car can really go much more faster. Obviously the car companies do it so for the safety of the owner of the car, but also so that it doesn't destroy the engine due to prolonged running of engine at higher speed. Kind of sound familiar, doesn't it.

  • Amazon Channels may beat Apple to offering cable-like experience

Don't care if the story is right or wrong or it has holes, but Apple really needs to do something in this regards. Apple really has to take advantage of their very good platform. They have lined up all the ducks, but seems like there is no bullets in the gun. The last thing we need is to have Amazon surpass Apple.

  • Apple is already being weirdly criticized for an AI effort that hasn't launched yet

This is nothing new. Just this afternoon I was watching Melissa Lee and her team on “Fast Money” - I know, I need to find a better financial news channel ;-) And she was spewing unintelligent comment about Apple. Tim and his team are smart people and this makes perfect sense. This does look like a stop gap solution. They are apparently extending the search deal they have with Google. Just the way got into Silicon business while using Intel, they will do the same with AI solution. Apple already has plenty of AI tech they already deploy with their devices.

  • Apple wants total control over distributing films like 'F1'

I am extremely glad that Apple's Service business is extending the reach out in other are. Apple TV+ has really improved with their offerings. I am really enjoying the new content that they have been delivering. Yes, they could do better with introducing some new killer hardware. I do think that Vision Pro is a game changer, but pricing was way out there, but I think there has to be a strategy behind that. Meta has been trying so hard with their AR/VR offering for so many years, but it hasn't yet achieved that high adaption, even after selling $399 product. They seem to be after the gamers only. And, it is fully, when last year Apple Intelligence was announced and right away people had negative view and when they explained that it was focusing on inference side and not those big data model side and people started saying "Oh! I get it now". Yes, of course, their execution was a miss and they said they will hae something better in 2026. I think it was crazy for people to expect something at WWDC 2025, because that wasn't even in they play book. Let's wait and see what they do in 2026.

While they are focusing rightfully on other revenue stream such as their Service business, they do need to work some up with something new. The word is already out that phones are going out of style and I am sure they know it too, because iPhone is their largest revenue generator and they are most likely working on their next hit. And, I don't think it is "glasses". First it was iPod, then it was iPhone, I think there is a game changer in horizon.

Apple will be 50 years old on April 1, 2026! Maybe there might be some surprise in the horizon!
