I have the carbon fiber version. It's an utterly fabulous tripod -- and the head is indeed Arca Swiss. The travel tripod is primarily a backpacker's tripod; it's not a replacement for a full-sized pair of sticks, except when it's the only tripod you have with you. Regardless, when you want to travel light, the PD Travel Tripod is a triumph of design and engineering.

I’ve been using 15” Macbook Pros for professional work (photo and video editing) for years. Then last year I acquired a maxed out Mac Mini and an external GPU for the same work. I think of my Mini, as equipped as a working man’s MacPro. For my needs, the Mini has been an ideal solution.
