I have tried the Darkboard. It’s fabulous. My iPad does not overheat. In short, this is a great design. It works. Try before you buy. Tom

This is great news. Wacom needs serious competition. I too have owned Cintiq 24 HD. Great machine. A few years ago I called Wacom with a question about calibration. Their response was lacking.

Count me in, Chris! Just waiting for App Store approval. Thank you for all the great work you do to make FCP even better. Tom

This works! I haven’t yet tried exporting an original FCP/Mac to FCP/IP project, but executed a round trip that started at the iPad. It’s probably a good idea to delete the original project from your iPad after returning with a project you’ve modifi…

I use an OWC 6-bay RAID for 4k video post production and stills attached to either a 2018 Mac Mini or a 2019 15" MacBook Pro. The notion of being able to access files from either computer without having to re-attach cables is very appealing. Would …

I’ve been using 15” Macbook Pros for professional work (photo and video editing) for years. Then last year I acquired a maxed out Mac Mini and an external GPU for the same work. I think of my Mini, as equipped as a working man’s MacPro. For my needs…

I have the carbon fiber version. It's an utterly fabulous tripod -- and the head is indeed Arca Swiss. The travel tripod is primarily a backpacker's tripod; it's not a replacement for a full-sized pair of sticks, except when it's the only tripod you…

I've owned three Macbook Pro's with butterfly keyboards; two are 2016 models; the third, 2019. All three have had to have their keyboards replaced; one of them, twice. I still prefer Macs, but I do wish the butterfly keyboard stayed on the drawing b…

I'm really eager for other iPad app developers to provide access to external storage: Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer and Luma Touch especially. Tom

Bravo, LumaFusion! Thank you for your brilliant work.

pflux said: I must admit that I have a love-hate relation with my iPad pro. It’s an impressive piece of technology, fast, reliable and clearly what I want to have with me when I’m mobile. BUT: dear AppleInsider, you keep on praising Apple bli…

The keyboard on my 2016 13" MBP Touch Bar failed a few months ago; the right side Command key remained stuck in the depressed position. On it's return, the startup key was crimped; back it went a second time. I was fortunate to have my projects on e…

So when is this "only game in town" device coming to town? I preordered in late 2016. OWC emailed an apology for the delays. I take it as a good sign that AppleInsider received one. Anyone else?

I totally agree; I'd rather wait and have my watch work right from the start.

Anyone tried it yet? It needs work. I can hear my callers just fine through my computer, but caller complain that I sound like I'm talking from a bucket. I'm pretty certain that means "not sounding good." It can only get better. Tom

10.9.4 is a vital update if you operate a new Mac Pro and use Premiere Pro. The two were incompatible for many users, self included, when attempting to render sequences using Open CL. The machine would crash frequently, create glitches and strange p…

Snappier?

From Raleigh, N.C., cellular Facetime is activated on my grandfathered unlimited data plan too. I wonder if it's snappier?

How about providing a 16 GM RAM option for the 13" rMBP?
