Well, Prime Video for Apple TV is here, it works, except that I cannot get subtiles ! This is a big let down for me.
However, checking the supported devices on Amazon site, subtiles are supposed to be supported on Apple TV (can be checked here)
I tried rebooting the Apple TV to no effect. I checked "Menu > Settings > Apps" but the app is not even listed, there are no Prime Video specific settings, none!
Within the app, there is a "Settings" tab, but nothing there concerning the hardware device being used.
So if subtiles are supported on Apple TV, HOW do we get them?

Next-gen Apple TV could output 120Hz video, beta code suggests
CheeseFreeze said:I see zero use for an AppleTV now I have the Apple TV+ app on my Samsung TV.
What is the device’s purpose other than supporting users that don’t have such a smart TV yet?The device’s purpose is obvious to me. I use it for what it does without having to use the “smarts” from a party other than Apple. So, quite the opposite for me, it is the “smart part” of a TV that I find useless. Not all smart TV owners accept to connect it to the Internet! (especially one from samsung).I own a smart TV because that’s all you can find these days. What I really want is a TV that has good image quality at a good price, but that is as dumb as possible!I just couldn’t find one! I suspect the smarts of a TV are seen by the manufacturer not as extra cost, but extra profit by its ability to invade your privacy.I’m fine with Apple TV and love it. In addition to the above, I’m very happy not to have to use those complex TV remotes. I do everything with Apple remote (either Siri remote, or an iPhone), including turning on/off the TV -
Sony planned PlayStation Now gaming service for the iPhone & Android

Duck duck go is also my choice!I’m so tired of people asking me to “google something”, as if it were the only option!
Personally, I prefer to say generically “do a web search”, which is exactly what it is, no need to give a free ad to the fake “don’t do evil”. -
Ecobee Smart Thermostat Premium review: The best HomeKit thermostat gets better
Can Alexa be totally, and I mean positively, disabled ?I don’t want an Alexa device in my home with a microphone or camera !
I wish any review covering HomeKit would talk about how confident the user can be that outgoing data will only be sent to Apple servers.I purchased an Ecobee device a few years ago, but I picked the older version that was exclusively HomeKit, and it doesn’t even have a microphone.I may consider buying the premium Ecobee, but I would open it up and physically cut-off the microphone connection. I don’t need to speak to Ecobee, I’m satisfied to use Siri on iPhone or Homepods… -
New iOS, Android spyware targeting users in extortion campaign
Would be really useful here to explain, or remind, what “side-load” precisely implies in the context of iOS.
I guess I knew but forgot...Installing some software outside of the app store? And if so, how is that accomplished? If there’s something users should avoid doing, it’s important to spell out exactly what they should not do ! -

Faster, redesigned 1Password 8 for Mac launches with catalogs, improved autofill

Also, the ability to access the keychain just with the Mac session password, for instance, is troubling for me, not secure enough, because I don’t want the Mac password to be complicated (I feel this is OK because physical access to the machine is also necessary to get into it, except for password database). If some elements of keychain could be made to require an extra protection with a complex password, I would feel much better with Apple keychain.I make a strong distinction between the “casual” passwords, and the important ones for strictly confidential information.
