Apple CEO Tim Cook calls EU tax ruling 'total political crap,' cites potential anti-US sentiment
I don't think that's a good argument for Tim Cook to make, that this is a grab for US taxes, because Apple doesn't PAY US Taxes on those profits and keeps it offshore to avoid paying US Taxes. It's reasonable to argue the ex post facto aspect of this ruling, question the authority - but I think going forward the really sweet deal for taxes is toast. Negotiate a shorter timespan for the back taxes (which means much less money owed) and declare victory. -
Apple, other tech companies decry North Carolina anti-LGBT law

Some with rather buff bodies. And you want them in the women's room. There are women who were men on their birth certificate with breasts, and again, rather attractive bodies that you would not imagine were not biologically female. Already the major stadiums in North Carolina have policies that allow transgender people to use the bathrooms that they identify with and this law will do nothing to change that. I don't know you enough to have an opinion about your feelings, but if you are truly interested in this I encourage you to do some research. I think you will be surprised how logical the Charlotte ordinance was and how misguided the state is.
I get it. You don't think this is real, that transgender people are just those who want to dress up like the other sex. You're wrong. -
First look: iPhone 8 series with A11 Bionic chip, wireless charging, more
The reason I'm only tempted by the 8/8Plus is because I really don't want to give up the home button and TouchID. With TouchID, if you choose to, you can select other fingers to activate it. You've only got one face for FaceID. Siri on the button one the side (the one that shuts off the phone) - seems like it's going to cause problems - short press, shut off. Longer press - Siri. Longer press - reboot. And as someone who activates his phone many times during the day - FaceID has to use more energy than TouchID. I LIKE having a bezel I can grab. -

Yes, that means a lot of duplicate cable wiring, but who cares! While we're at it, let's have competing water services, power companies, sewage companies, each with their own pipes and cables.
