Do you even know what you’re talking about? These companies are using certificates outside of the terms of use to collect consumer data. You’re basically saying that Apple has no right to protect itself and it’s customers. Go buy yourself a cheap Android and join the assimilation. You are the product.

But as usual... it's easier to blame Apple than to take responsibility for your own shortcoming as an educational institution.  That's why we still have to use freaking paper books.  We can send a spaceship to Pluto, but still have to learn off squares of dead trees.

I agree.  I think they should have included a Lighting port which would allow any iOS hardware to work with a MacBook too.

I know of precisely ZERO people or professionals in audio engineer that have ever used optical audio output from a MBP headphone jack. Seems like a common sense thing to kill off.

The iPhone 8 will be USB-C connectors or dual-function. Then headphones with USB-C connectors will work on both devices.
